Maslow 88078 Standard Bowl, stainless steel, 17 Cups/136 Ounce (Pack of 1)

Its a great dish for the price. I realize it was an inexpensive water dish. I don't expect it to be the best dish on the planet. But, for the price it fits my needs. I purchased the 17 cup bowl. My picture is for size. The two dogs are the big dogs - Labrador and Bernese mountain dog. Large dogs. You'll see I had to place it on a silicone mat. My dogs drip. (Blue mat is another amazon product - see other review.) 17 Cups is the right size. My dogs go through it once a day - sometimes twice. We live in Florida but it's an inside bowl.We had a different bowl - PetSafe Healthy Pet Water Station, Dog and Cat Water System with Stainless Steel Bowl, Large, 320 oz. (We had two of these.) This actually worked well for us in Ohio but the water in Florida is different. I don't like for it to stay inside the reservoir for two or three days. This dish works for us right now.I like that I have to refill it every day because it requires me to clean and refresh the water daily. All three dogs can drink out of it at the same time if the choose. I will update this review if I find that I need to replace the bowl. Initial thoughts - good bowl and fits our needs right now.

My Labrador Retriever is an extremely sloppy drinker. When she drinks, water gushes out of the sides of her jowls as fast as she slurps it in. If another dog is nearby, she will try to impress him by gulping even larger amounts of water and making a huge mess. There was always puddles of water around her bowl. I tried towels under the bowl and bought a special water hog mat to go under the bowl. Water just soaked all of that and rolled under the mat to make an even bigger mess. The kitchen floor was always wet and nobody could walk near the dog bowl in sock feet. In desperation I bought this Bergan Stainless Steel Dog Bowl. It is wonderful. I wish the metal was heavier, but it is lightweight to carry and seems sturdy enough. I haven't had it long enough to see if it will rust. It is shiny and looks good. The best thing, though, is that the bowl is around 11 inches in diameter, and is plenty large enough for my dog's big head. I fill it up less than half way and that is the answer to the water issue. My dog can drink with as much gusto as she wants and the splashing is contained in the large bowl. Now if she could just learn to wipe her mouth after she drinks, we wouldn't have any water on the floor!

As many others have stated, these bowls are not stainless steel (of course, I'm reading this after the fact).I purchased these bowls for the size and loved them, still do. My dogs drink A LOT of water, so these size bowls saved me from having to run to the kitchen filling their water several times a day. In contrast of other posts, I didn't have any issues with the bowls in the first week or month - I actually purchased the bowls Dec 2019. While, this is a little over 2 years ago and these bowls are pretty cheap, I think it bothers me because they're advertised as stainless steel so they shouldn't rust.

Before this product, I had purchased a refilling water bowl that had one of those water holding tanks so that my dogs would always have fresh water even if they ran out while I was at work... Well OF course, my 68# pitbull was scared of the bubbles the tank made when it let more water escape into the bowl.... of course...So I gave that bowl to my sister who has three cats- who are NOT afraid of it and seam to really like it hahah. So my next idea was to get a massive bowl for their water. Since I have two big dogs, they go through water so quickly and I was constantly refilling their bowl all day. The second I'd set it on the ground they would run over and finish it. I do not have that problem anymore! this bowl is the perfect size for two big dogs to share. I refill it only two times a day, morning and evening. It is also big enough that they can drink at the same time. Really glad I made this purchase, it was exactly what I needed.

I do not know whether there is a quality difference or not, but I did not receive a 17 cup dish by Bergan - it was by Costal Pet Supplies' subsidiary Maslow. I did get this as promised by Amazon, next day and when I double-checked the order, the manuf name did change. But where this will be the community water dish in our backyard (chickens, cats, dogs) I'm sure it will work fine enough and I am not returning. Gave 4-stars as I do not know how it will stand up. May change (if I remember) as time tells. Oh, and for the person wondering if made in USA - this one was manuf in India. Namasté.

My rating is a little harsh because they put a sticker on the bottom of the bowl with glue that would NOT come off. I had to wash it several times, over several days/even a week maybe, before the glue came off. I wasn't happy my dogs were drinking water from this bowl with the glue still being in there so I'm hopeful they will change to the rubbery glue or put the sticker on the BOTTOM so it's not in the actual bowl. Otherwise, I like the bowl. FYI - these will rust over a given time, but typically it's a couple years so for the money, it's a good buy.

Bought this to replace the plastic to-go containers I had been using as an indoor water bowl for my doggo. I never wanted to permanently have water inside because my black lab drips all over after drinking. However, I just downsized her outside water bowl so I needed to add a large indoor bowl to replace some of the lost volume. This bowl is large and, when placed on a water-absorbent pet mat, doesn't leave too many drip trails. The biggest drawback I see is the weight of the bowl, which is pretty light. When eating from her portion-control feeder, my dog pushes this bowl back and it rests against the baseboards. This makes me a bit concerned about water damage. Maybe I should have purchased a bowl with a silicone bottom instead.

La principal razón por la que se compro es por que tengo un perro bastante juguetón (labrador) y pues si olvido retirarle el plano, literalmente se lo come si es de plástico , o lo trae botando de un lado a otro como su juguete,y pues a sobrevivido bastante bien, creo es un poco delgada la lamina con la cual esta fabricado ya que pues a sufrido pequeñas abolladuras, o quizá el plato es demasiado grande y por eso se flexiona un tanto, y como dije es muy grande, hace verme como si fuera mezquino con la porción de comida , cuando es lo habitual y recomendado para la raza. considero como un buen articulo, ya que si fueras a comprar en otra parte si se dispararía bastante el precio.

Este plato resulta algo útil pero tiene algunas características que lo hacen menos atractivo respecto a otros como el no tener material anti deslizante en la parte inferior, por lo que la mascota, al comer, va empujando el plato. No ayuda el hecho de que es muy liviano. Pegándole algunas gomas se mejora esta característica y por el precio pues puede valer la pena hacer esa modificación.

Llevo comprando varias cosas de esta marca y la verdad me encanta porque son de muy buen material... el único detalle (error mío) fue que pedí éste plato de un tamaño que no le va a mi perrita una bulldog inglés, ya que es muy grande, es para tallas de grande a extra grande...De ahí en fuera por eso le pongo 5 estrellas porque es muy buen material y a un súper buen precio... el pedido llegó en tiempo y forma

A sabiendas de que es acero inoxidable y que requiere de los cuidados propios del material, es una excelente opción muy estable y ligera pero sin perder la resistencia necesaria, ideal para agua para perros de 20 kg o para alimento para perros de razas más grandes

Good quality. But might have underestimated size of bowl. This was for an adult German sheppard and bowl is bit too big. A regular portion of dry dog food barely fills bottom of bowl. But my dog doesn't mind. Only my wife complained it was taking too much floor space ;)
