My boyfriend loved it
My boyfriend is fascinated by anything to do with space, so I bought him this book as a Valentine's day gift and he loved it. We looked through all the pictures together and they are all beautiful. He showed it to his parents, who then said I was a thoughtful gift giver! Just be careful while going through the book because if the picture is on a black background, your fingerprints can easily mark the pages.

Beautiful
I gifted this to a fellow teacher and she literally cried at how much she loved it

Beautiful
This book is amazing! The pictures are absolutely gorgeous; each has a tiny paragraph accompanying it explaining what took the picture and what the picture is depicting. The pictures of Earth are especially stunning. If you have any interest in space whatsoever, you'll love this!

Quality Reproduction of Impressive Interplanetary 'Views'
Whilst the theme of this book is identical to the books with photos derived from the marvellous Hubble Telescope which I already own, I'm very pleased with this new addition as for me it has many 'new', equally mind-boggling, photos of outer space since they are collated from several NASA-derived 'sources' - it can often be difficult to appreciate that these are images of reality, and not some type of artwork....Recently published, the book is a decent size to hold for perusing and the reproduction quality of the photos is excellent (I often marvel at the quality as a long time ago I went to an exhibition of original Hubble photos and was surprised to see how small the source material is !); I just wish the page-count were higher !!!Another notable feature of the presentation is that most of the main feature photos do not share any of the page(s) with text, that being either on the opposing page in a small/central block (rather than what can often be a mass of unnecessary spiel) or the preceding/following page if the photo spans both pages. There is also an appreciable and informative introductory section - so this is not just a picture book, as it could also be a reference/teaching book (ie an excellent present !).As the Amazon 'Look Inside' feature is for the Kindle edition, I've added a few photos of the feature pages to depict the various presentation formats this book contains....Add the facts that the book is hardback and can be bought for a relatively decent price (you should hope for around £14, inc postage) makes it something of a steal and a worthy addition to anyone's collection of space imagery.---Whilst difficult to now source new (I got them on release !), some recommended photo books on the same theme :Dedicated solely to the moon : Full Moon with it's 'Planet Earth' sister publication (NOT the David Attenborough 'Planet Earth' !) : Planet Earth *** A Hubble-only book such as 'Hubble Vision' (several editions to cover newly released imagery) is also recommended ! An awe-inspiring collection of planetary and cosmic photography
I wasn't looking for something that could just be a 'coffee table' book, and I didn't want anything that had too much by way of running commentary, so this phenomenal volume of stunning images will impress anyone and is capable of inspiring someone to be creative. The landscape format works well and the size of the pictures helps draw you in. The sheer quality and definition are beyond expectation, as are the vivid colours of the galaxies and nebulae.

Amazing
Bought for my astrophotography and general space loving mum for her birthday. She gave ideas of what she wanted but I wanted to get something she wasn’t expecting and she’s in love with it. It inspired her to take some incredible shots herself while we were away from the light polluted city. I’m not the biggest space fanatic but some of the pages I saw over her shoulder were incredible. Perfect!

Nice book
A bit slow to arrive but that is likely to be due to postal delays generally

This is very sciency - if you’re looking for pretty pictures of the Earth get Tim Peake’s photography book
This is very sciency - if you’re looking for pretty pictures of the Earth get Tim Peake’s photography book. It’s still a gorgeous book of amazing space phenomenum but it’s quite complex with lots of science explanation.
