I love chestnut puree and miss the European flavor This is quite nice however the consistency is a bit softer then expected The container is tiny so won’t get too much for your money

This creme de marron (chestnut jam spread) is absolutely delectable. I found this spread a little less sweet as compared to other brands I have tried but it as delicious and I actually prefer this taste as well. It is creamy and rich with just a touch of sweetness- perfect to smother over Belgian waffles for a dessert or breakfast. These jars are very adorable but pretty small- each one is about the size of a baby food jar. I was able to cover about 4-5 freezer Belgian waffles with a decent shmear using just one can, so they do go a long way despite the small size. I was so pleased to find that Amazon carries this, since I have never found It in any European or international grocery and usually have to rely on friends and family visiting France to bring some back for me. I will definitely be repurchasing!

It is a unique gourmet condiment with gentle sweet flavor of chestnut. If you love chestnuts, you want to try this product. The small containers are great for one to use. However, if more than one person will share, you might want to try the bigger size can (17.6 oz). Price wise, the bigger can is cheaper the the 4 mini containers. It is also contain more than the 4 ones. I buy the 4 containers because I can use it over time.

What a treat! I haven't had any "crème de marron" for over 30 years. It tastes great, just eating it out with a teaspoon. A small can of 3.5oz (100grs) is enough for 3 desserts. I wanted to order the big container but I don't think it comes with a plastic lid to keep the content very fresh between uses. Please seller, correct me if I am wrong. I just like it so much that I really would like to order the big can. The 4 small cans, with opening tabs, are convenient if you want to share one or two with friends and to take on a picnic or road trip.

This arrived in a box with other items. The packaging for this product is ripped and there are only two cans. One is dented. I’m not using these for gifts but they were needed for a project. Confused on why this was packed if it was broken and missing contents. If there’s a way to get a refund on this item independent from other items in the order, it’s not clear. Wish these issues could be fixed.

I should’ve made a meringue, for m’ont blanc, but instead ate it quickly just to try it with whipped cream. I liked it. I would like to figure out how they turn it into vermicelli or Angel hair looking noodles in Japan for Mont Blanc desserts. For a quick taste at home I like this product, to satisfy my curiosity, & especially the convenience of small individual cans. Easier than roasting chestnuts, I do not have a fireplace.
