We put 6 hours on this and it did awesome! We drove to the beach and brought it inside once we were unpacked.I will say when my husband was securing it to the car, he got a little enthusiastic and ended up breaking one of the plastic buckle pieces. We ended up using a Racheting strap to compensate for his midnight error. No complaints here! Everything stayed in place and dry. We bought a little 2x3 rug pad to help it grip the top of our roof since I don’t have a roof rack.

Easy to install and held a lot of stuff. Used a non-skid mat under it for added security. May and straps flapped in the wind which was a little nerve wracking at first. During a tremendously long, heavy rain storm a very small amount of water leaked into it through zipper. Mostly however the water leaked along the straps through the door seals and dripped on the driver and passenger. That was the biggest drawback, but we dealt with it. 😁

Perfect, just what I needed for vacation. Survived a 3000+ mile round trip vacation to Florida over the holidays. No noise or vibration at 75 mph highway speeds. although I did take a big hit on fuel economy (expected). Very water resistant, we encountered light to moderate rain during 1/3 of the drive and everything inside was dry. There is a flap the covers the zipper closure and I did note a little moisture inside, but certainly not enough to be bothersome. I paired this up with a cross bar mounted cargo rack (basket) on my Acura MDX. I secured it to the rack with the 4 attached straps and a single ratcheting tie over the top in the center. As I said, no problems on my trip.I paired it with the following cargo rack : MAXXHAUL 46" x 36" x 4-1/2" - 150 lb. Capacity - NOT Assembled 70115 Steel Roof Rack-150 lb

I bought this bag for a trip, it ripped on first trip and everything got soaked. I do not recommend this product to anyone. By the time I got back it was too late to return.

The picture is misleading. I thought this product had an internal spine that kept its shape for fast loading and to keep it aerodynamic. NOT SO. It's basically just a big bag that straps to the roof of your car. Therefore, there was a lot of unwanted noise coming from it when it would inevitably shift during the trip. But, we did use it without a roof rack. It is probably a lot more functional with a rack. Because, it is convenient because it holds quite a bit. It is water resistant, but like many of the other reviews have said, it is not water proof. We had it on the roof overnight while it was lightly raining and there was a small puddle on the inside in the morning. So, if you need a cheap alternative to a pricey roof compartment, for say a short trip or a move, it's pretty convenient. But, if you are going to use it often and in a lot of different weather situations, I wouldn't waste your money.

Worked great for our trip. We got 3 medium suitcases and 2 sea bags in it. It was was tight fit so we were pushing it a little but it worked out and kept everything dry. I think the people complaining about water may have had it backwards with the zipper facing forward. Put it on the car with the zipper facing the back. It's made really well and comes with six straps; four short ones for each corner and two long ones that go over the top and around each roof rail.

We used the rooftop bag for sleeping bags, bags of clothes and it held a lot. We’ve only used it twice and neither time was in the rain so I can’t comment on whether it’s rainproof or not. However, after the second use when we got home the threading had separated and we had a nice size opening on the side. Luckily nothing came out! Maybe if you tighten it too tight it comes apart? I don’t know but we want to make sure it’s secure and not flopping around on the roof either.
