Nice gravel for planted tanks
One bag came punctured and the box was soaked, makes everything cloudy but cleared in a day as you're not supposed to rinse it. My plants are thriving in my tank with only an added root tab, most of the stones are rounded, not sharp, nice sized and natural looking. Does not alter my ph or ammonia

Great gravel
This gravel is great. I didnt use live plants with it so i can't say how well it works. But it looks great in the 35 gallon hex tank. I put 40# in it and it gave me about 2-3 inches of cover. The gravel its self reminds me of pea gravel that has been flattened. I didnt clean or strain the gravel before filling the tank. It was cloudy at 1st. My filteration system showed noticeable clearing with in an hours time. Crystal clear water 24 hrs after

Great looking gravel but be ready to spend a couple of days cleaning it.
This is beautiful gravel, BUT how I wish it came without the liquid that is supposed to clear in six hours to one day. I guess the brown, murky liquid is good if you have a planted tank, but not for one with plastic plants. I (and angellfish that were in a small temporary tank) waited three days for it to clear and then after trying my Pythom water changer had to resort to scooping and rinsing and scooping and rinsing and scooping out 30 pounds of gravel in a 50 gallon tank to get rid of this stuff..I'm exhausted, but the tank is clear. I'll use API instant cycle as well as cycled filter medium I have in another tank and hope to get my fish in tomorrow..All I can say is be prepared. Be very prepared! Thank goodness for Advil.

Very nice product
Color a bit lighter than depicted but very nice. Used in 5 gal betta tank. Because my tank is cycled, I reused existing water, and per directions slowly poured in. Water cloudy but to be expected and will clear up. DO NOT RINSE!!! If you do you rinse out the important flora of the substrate which defeats the point and strips away the benefits of the product.

Update: 4 bags ordered. Only one bag looked like photo.
Initial review : Nice size stones with a great deal of nutrients. I ordered two bags. The first arrived and the colors looked nothing like the photo. They were dull and gray. I put these at the very bottom layer and the second bag, which was just like the photo, on the top. I really didn't care about the first bag, but if this was representative of their quality, then I can see a bunch of negative reviews being posted solely on the lackluster color bags.People complain about water clarity after adding these stones. They are shipped wet and full of small particles. This is great for plants but not so good for water quality. If adding to en empty aquarium, don't rinse them and just scoop them slowly into the bottom. Slowly add water without shaking up the substrate. Let sit for about 2 days and it will clear. If adding to an existing aquarium (on top of substrate) rinse them.UPDATE- Ordered two more bags for another aquarium and they are both an ugly dull yellow-gray. Not the advertised color at all. Huge disappointment so i knocked 3 stars off the review. Their quality control is obviously not there. Will NOT order again.A shame because the one bag I got are amazing-looking stones!

Good soil. Terribly clouds water and settles on plants and is difficult to plant in
Good soil for plant health. It's clay so it leaves the water cloudy and settles onto the plants.

Nice Colors and Plants Seem to Like It.
I bought this gravel/substrate for my planted aquarium. I love the colors in the gravel. I did not rinse it because it was going in a new aquarium. Although I should have. It made my water very cloudy. It did dissipate after a while though. My plants went in and stayed in place nicely. I think they are already starting to root after only a few days.
