EltaMDUV Clear Face Sunscreen SPF 46, Oil-Free Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide, Dermatologist Recommended

I have used this product for years and will probably keep using it until the day I die. I am as pale as a sheet of paper and have not once - that's right folks, not ONCE - gotten sunburned on my face while using this sunscreen. Even after applying it once in the morning and never again throughout the day. Even when doing water sports. Even when staring directly at the sun for hours with no hat on.If you are someone with a darker complexion than Snow White, I would encourage you to get the tinted sunscreen version.

I have a condition called polymorphous light eruption, and am EXTREMELY sun sensitive and burn, blister, and get terrible, itchy rashes within minutes of sun exposure, even on mild days. This is honestly a lifesaver for me. I don’t mind wearing it at all. It’s not greasy, not tacky, doesn’t leave or develop a white film, doesn’t make me sweat to death, and doesn’t feel… just gross… while wearing it. It just feels “normal”. And, of course, it does what it’s supposed to do, and that is it protects my extremely sensitive skin from burning very well. I’m so thankful to have found this product. I feel like I’m getting my life back. It’s expensive, though! Due to that, I wear it just on my face and neck and use cheaper products elsewhere.

Best sunscreen I’ve ever used. I’ve struggled to find a sunscreen for my rosacea and acne prone skin. This the only one I’ve used that won’t flare my rosacea or acne. It’s also the only sunblock I have tried that I can get close to my eyes without having my eyes burn the rest of the day. It blends in so good and I use it as a moisturizer after washing my face every morning.

Short answer: it piles and flakes offOkay, this is an interesting one. I had a facial treatment done that has left me with very sensitive post inflammatory skin issues, including one that the dermatologist thinks might be a form of rosacea. Basically I can use cetaphil face wash and Vanicream daily facial moisturizer and nothing else, as I react to everything else.But, I need an SPF, we all really should be wearing one daily. ChatGPT recommended I try this one (thanks AI). I have been using it for about a week and so far it hasn’t caused any irritation, bumps or new flare ups. The problem is what other reviews have already mentioned, it piles and flakes right off the skin. I tried mixing it with my moisturizer and it still flaked off. Bummer.I was about to return it, but because it actually seems to calm my skin I have decided to keep it and use it as an “at home only” sun protection product. Yes, you even need SPF protection even if sitting inside your house. The light coming through windows is enough to benefit from SPF protection.So, when I wake up in the morning I put this on right away. In this way I am at least SPF protected while I make breakfast or do house chores, even if I do something outside like take out the trash or gardening. It’s also fine for just sitting around watching TV.But, if I am going out, then I shower it off and start my usual product routine without it. I can tolerate the EltaMD UV AOX Elements Tinted Mineral Face Sunscreen Lotion “a little bit”… I still get a few bumps though.However, if I am just around the house and not in public view, then I am very happy with this product and the lack of irritation and actual calming effect I get from it, along with knowing that for those hours I am UV protected.The product does have a scent! It is an almond extract scent. I am very sensitive to scents and don’t love it, but have found it tolerable and while it does linger for awhile, it eventually fades (or my brain just begins to ignore it). It hasn’t been a deal breaker.

This is THE ONLY sunscreen that does not cause my skin to break out and it doesn’t clog my pores and it isn’t gross and oily and it doesn’t cause my face to be shiny or white. It’s literally the best face sunscreen I have ever used on my sensitive acne prone skin. I wish it was more affordable and I wish it came in a tube so I could be sure I get every drop of it.

Simplemente el mejor que le a venido a mi , pues suelo tener una piel muy acneica y muy sensible , esto m a ayudado mucho y mi cara esta mucho mejor m encanta sin duda vale le pena el precio el grande m dura 2 meses y este pequeño solo lo tengo en caso m emergency en mi bolsa diario

I have acne prone skin and this does not break me out at all. It's light weight and does not leave my skin feeling greasey with does not leave a white cast. I've tried many sunscreens but this is my favorite and I plan to continue purchasing it. Wonderful product.
