GREAT I MEAN REALLY GREAT
This is a wonderful projector but understand what it is for and you should be very happy. Here is what you should not expect from this projector or any small projector. A super clear and bright picture in a room with a lot of light. That will not happen with one of these projectors. With that said what you can expect is a really surprisingly bright clear projection in a dim or dark room. I did a lot of research on these projectors and this was not my first choice. I bought the Microvision SHOWWX+ HDMI Laser Pico Projector (AA0123600-020) as it just seemed like it would be the best choice, it was laser it auto focused. In reality, this was a cool projector but the projected image looked so phony and you could see little sparkles of red blue and green constantly on the image. The image was razor sharp but the sparkles were bad and the image looked like it was a laser image made with red blue and green lasers. This projector also had to be used in extremely dark rooms to see the projection or it was really washed out. I was really disappointed with this projectors image quality. however, it was so compact and it did an okay job so I kept it. Unfortunately this projector got stolen the first week I had it. So I had to get another one.No way was I going to get the Micro-vision again. So I started looking around again. This time I know that 20 lumens the micro vision had was not enough. I also wanted HDMI. So I decided on the AAXA projector. What a good choice it turned out to be. It was about tripple the size of the Microvision but still small about the size of two decks of cards. The bigger size was not a problem due to the image quality. It was so much better than the Microvision I could not belive my eyes. It had better controls, brighter more connections and all the cable came with it. One feature you cannot do without is a tripod mount on a projector this size. The cables are heavier than the projector and it will move all over the place without a tripod to stabilize it. The Microvision did not have a tripod and that was a terrible oversight on the manufacturers part.I hook this up to watch movies off my ipod to play games with my ipad. It hooks up to my video camera, my digital camera and even my playstation. Anything that has a video out will work with this projector. It is also over $100 cheaper than the Microvision. You will not be disappointed.

3 stars is as good as I am going.
Set up nicely. The included remote is flimsy and has limited range. Definitely could be better. Used the projector in a meeting environment using the controls on the projector itselt It's OK; somewhat limited unless the room is dark. I guess portable projectors are meant for small dark rooms. that no one much uses anymore. Contacted their technical support about a couple of issues. They answered the phone, answered all my questions and have contacted me by email as a follow-up. You can't ask for more than that. KUDOS!!The projector is solid and has a decent range considering it's only 50 lumens - which definitely requires a dark room. Focus is quick but manual and holds well once set. Had no problems with text or color rendition. Worked with 400 flower stills and used a text document to set focus. No problems.Let's see how long it lasts. Looks and acts durable. Will update this if needed.OK... Here comes the update.USED IT ONCE, TWICE ACTUALLY IF YOU COUNT TEST RUN.. Pulled it out of its box again to check it for possible use this weekend.DEAD AS A DOORNAIL. Put it on AC and turned it on again. Get a blue light inside and no white light out the front. Now I know it has a battery and it has been 13 months since I needed it. That's My problem.Called AAXA about getting it serviced and found that since it is discontinued, they can't offer any kind of repair.I should have kept it charged or something, but the idea of no service available for a product that is within 14 months of purchase date is unacceptable. I got a big "Gee, I am sorry."Started working again,on its own. Think the tech guy might have known about the slow startup after long period of unuse.Unless I have a real problem and this thing is just dying slowly. Will leave it on, see what happens. Now I have a handle on how the battery might affect this thing, gonna keep it on the charger when not in use.Still miffed about their "Sorry Charlie" attitude. Perhaps phone guy is NOT tech guy, in which case.I will stay with 3 stars on this. But again, can't see buying something else here.

Great projector, annoying connectivity, poor reliability
This is a great projector. It works very nicely with my iPhone 4S with a VGA adapter.I needed to charge the phone while using the projector, so I found an iPhone dock connector that merges power in as well. For the iPhone 5S, the Lightning-VGA adapter did not work well - the picture was always wrapped around horizontally. So I switched to the Lightning-HDMI adapter, which works well with the P3. The display looks quite narrow in portrait, but fine in landscape. But... HDMI sends the audio to the P3 and the P3 speaker is crap - both faint and scratchy compared to the iPhone speaker. So I had to add an external powered speaker to this setup. The reliability has been poor. The projector started putting junk on the screen at 13 months (about 1 hour of use per day). This is out of warranty, but they sent me a replacement for $50. Then at 20 months the power adpater died. I just bought a new one for $15.
