The Universal Barndoor Kit is designed to alter the shape, amount or color of the light coming from the flash heads. The kit comes with a honeycomb grid insert and three color gels set within metal inserts. The universal barndoor fits a reflector diameter of 5.5"-7" and also has a built-in holder for the metal inserts and color gels. Using a barndoor set, attached to the front of the reflector of your light source, will allow you to control the light cast on a subject. Based on how the leaves on a barndoor are set and the longer the leaves are, the more the light will be specifically controlled. Positioning of the leaves will determine the size of the light shaft. Rotating the leaves will determine the angle of the light. A 4-leaf barndoor provides more light control than a 2-leaf barndoor set.
