Best tasting rice protein powder I've had in awhile
I don't do well with whey and soy, and I hate breakfast food. A naturopath turned me onto rice protein powder over 20 years ago, and it's what I've had for breakfast daily since then. I can't do milk, so I blend it with water and some kind of fruit - usually berries or baby food fruit (which is just pureed fruit). I now mix it with Zint grass fed beef collagen on the advice of my naturopath, so I only use one scoop of the powder. Yes, it's a bit gritty - nature of the beast. I'm sure blending it with milk or nut milks might smooth it out, but I'm used to it. I've tried some rice protein powders which taste and smell rancid and are just awful to use. Between the stench and the taste, I was grossed out. I was out of brands to try when I found Growing Naturals. It does not have that rancid oil smell and taste. It's pretty bland, but the things I add to it make it a lot more pleasant. I could add my own cocoa powder and almond milk and it would taste great, but I think the fruit is healthier. Rice protein powder is easy to digest. I am so grateful to have found this brand, and hope they never change this product.

The only vegan protein I ever finished
I'm extremely picky about, well, everything. But I really like this protein. I'm allergic to milk, soy, gluten, peas, and flax. Hemp protein tastes like grass clippings, so rice protein was literally my last hope. You can imagine my excitement when I bought this and thought it actually tasted good. A little grainy but no more than any other protein powder. It's not super chocalate-y, so I usually add a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder. But overall, I digest it well, it has NO weird aftertaste like most vegan proteins do, and blends nicely in anything I throw in there. I just finished my tub and back for another purchase, which has literally never happened in my life.

Best allergen free source
excellent easy source of protein. as a vegan & hypoallergenic/sensitivity to most derivatives of protein (soy, whey, pea, nuts) i’ve found the best supplement to fulfill my much needed requirements, since my new dietary lifestyle ive realized i cut out tons protein from my diet. symptoms began matching with protein deficiency; hair thinning (head, brow & lashes) low estrogen & off balance hormones, weight gain in unwanted areas & loss of muscle. overall wrecked havoc on my image. i decided to give this brown rice powder a try & already saw healing a week later. more energy for fitness, a little chalkier for smoothies as stated but i add them into vegan baked goods as a partial flour substitute & tastes amazing, getting my supplements through my favorite tasty & allergen-free recipes will be my daily protein intake

Half full when opening
The product taste is pretty good better than most a little chalky, but the canister was half full when I opened it and the product is more on the costly side. I wish they offered the customers a whole canister of the product.

not "Original" – received "new Original"
What I received is the "new Original" flavor. Which is awful. The ingredients list is the same, but the proportions have been changed to make it sweet. Instead of the real Original picture, the new one has 2 g of sugar, while the real Original had 0. This is such an incredible disappointment – I've been eating this stuff for years in my breakfast cereal. Now, it's all going to the food bank, and I won't be trying to buy it again. Growing Naturals, please take note: what you used to have was a unique product, and impossible to find elsewhere. Now, that niche is empty. I hope you consider going back, and making the original recipe available again.

Best protein mix ever
I got this for a recipe to make frosting. A food blog {Dessert with benefits: 104g (3 scoops) Chocolate Brown Rice Protein Powder Isolate; 15g (3 tbs) Dark Cocoa Powder (unsweetened); 1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk} For how healthy it is it makes a good frosting.Edited Oct 2013: I do like having protein drinks/shakes too but didn't get around to it until I had my wisdom teeth removed. It doesn't mix in well (like most protein powders), so I use the blender and add a scoop to 16 oz of milk or almond milk (not very good with water). This is a great tasting mix. Just getting ready to get my second jar.Carbs 5g, Fiber 1g, Sugars 2g, Protein 24gIngredients: Organic sprouted whole grain brown rice protein isolate, organic cocoa, organic sprouted whole grain brown rice syrup solids, organic flour, organic guar gum, organic gum arabic, organic stevia, sea salt, organic sunflower oil. Bam that's it.

Great protein!!
Amazing product, it does not have any taste whatsoever. It is a bit grainy, but nothing like the other protein powders I have tried. After a while it settles in the bottom of the cup so you must shake it to have a evenly smooth drink. The original flavor goes with everything, I have also tried Chocolate and Vanilla. And it is hard to decide, but like mixing the chocolate one with coffee like a mocha is excellent. One thing though, Chocolate is to sweet for my taste. And coffee make up for it. But then I must say, I do not have a sweet Thoth. Vanilla is the one I drink the most, I like to mix it with Matcha Powdered Green Tea, and with a teaspoon of Maca powder. That makes a healthy energy/protein shake for breakfast.Great for girls with PCOS since is low carb and contains Stevia as a sweetener.

Perfect post-workout or meal replacement shake!
Absolutely loving this protein! I’m a long distance runner, so it’s important for me to get my dose of protein. A few years ago I was having some health issues and wanted to find less processed, dairy free and more natural form of protein. That’s how I came across this amazing product!! The flavor and texture are delicious! I tend to use the same ingredients with the chocolate flavored rice protein; 1 scoop rice protein, about a cup of almond milk and a banana. This definitely holds me over until lunch time and this is my go-to meal replacement on days that I don’t have time to make lunch or want a light dinner. 100% recommend to give this one a try!
