All in all, the TV isn't bad. Good picture, stations are so so. Have to have good antenna. DVD player works good. For an RCA the sound is very poor. its very low and tenty. you think rca would have fixed that problem

Over all, this is a great little TV, which is what I bought it for. The 9" screen offers a decent viewing without being too big to lug around and the picture is very clear with great color and lastly the sound has enough volume. The only problems I have so far (it's 3 months old) is with the antenna (had to get the one everyone recommends, then I could get a decent amount of channels). The second problem is with the cord connections. Yes! both cord connections. Both the antenna and the electrical connections are faulty. Everything was fine for the first couple of months of use. Then without any apparent reason the connections (mostly the one to the electricity) started to cause the TV to suddenly go out! After wiggling the wires the TV comes back on again, but now the problem seems to be getting harder to correct. It's very frustration and I am at the point of contacting the manufacturer about a new electrical cord or something.In spite of this problem, I would recommend this unit because it is perfect in every other feature. I'm hoping the problem can be easily fixed through the manufacturer with a new cord or something as simple as this.

For a little tv, its got the clearest picture and so easy to use. Fabulous for sunday fooball when you have to work .

In the day RCA WAS a good product. This one however is probably the most disappointing product I have ever purchased. The volume is extremely low and I have exceptional hearing. Bad point number 2, the sound quality sounds like its coming out of a tin can. Bad point number 3, doesn't get good transmission even with a separately purchased antena. Save your money and look for another product, I sent mine back.

Overall this unit feels like a cheap clone. The control buttons reminds me of a metal clicker toy. Everything works... But the "feel" is having me sorry I purchased the product. Oh and about that cheap clone feel? Add the speakers, sounding just above one level above a transitor radio.The reception is good, but New York has over average reception in the tri-state area, so I don't know how well this unit will receive under poor conditions. The channel controls only scan up and down, meaning you aren't able to go directly to a channel, having you to scan through to your chosen channel. My opinion is the battery charge could have also held a longer charge.Bottom line; it does what the box says...But it just feels like i'm holding a toy.

I'm sorry but I'm disappointed in this product especially from a well known name brand. Also I should of looked up the specs on this model.First when I got it the battery was all the way down. It came on just long enough for the RCA logo to display and then die. The owners manual states it takes 2 to 2.5 hrs to fully charge. It's more like 3.5 to 4 hrs. The manual also says battery is only good for 1.5 hrs of play time.More cons: The screen resolution is only 640 x 280. IMHO it looks terrible.The volume doesn't get very loud. And you can't adjust it with the remote.The way the case is designed around the antenna connector makes it very difficult to use a screw on antenna connector.The layout of the right side inputs and connectors is goofy. The antenna input is at the front. The On-Off switch is at the back. The card reader is on the back of the case. And there's no cover or dummy card in it to keep dust and other stuff out.It sounds really picky but the control buttons are kind of hard to press and have a loud click when pressed.The smooth glossy surface is a fingerprint magnet.It doesn't include a carry case.There is some good things like; The remote control. Lots of video and sound adjustments. Electronic Program Guide.And other extras like V chip and parental control.I'm going to get and try out the Azend Envizen Digital Quartet 9 ED8890A 9 inch portable digital TV & DVD player. The screen resolution is suppose to be 800 x 480 and the run time is suppose to be 2.5 hrs on the battery. And a carry case is included.I don't know what I'm going to do with this RCA portable TV & DVD player. Sending it back means paying a high shipping rate and all the hassle that goes with it. I might try to sell it locally to get some of my money back or give it as late Christmas or birthday gift.

DEFINETLY A GREAT PURCHASE. PERFECT FOR USING AS A SECOND TV FORTAKING WITH YOU AS YOU WORK OR CLEAN. PLUS IT HAS A DVD PLAYER & A USB PORT.BATTERY SEEMS TO LAST ABOUT 2 1/2 HOURS AND CAN BE CHARGED AS IT PLAYS.ADVISE: BUY ANOTHER ANTENNA & ALSO GET A SNAP-ON CONNECTOR FOR IT BECAUSE THECONNECTION ON THE TV IS LOCATED CLOSE TO THE CASE.

I ordered this portable tv/dvd player with some apprehension, the features to price ratio seemed a bit skewed. All these features for a price that others charge for a portable dvd player only, sounded too good to be true but I gave it a go anyway... And man was I surprised!!!This little machine is the real deal, great picture quality on both tv and dvd playback, a full-featured well organized wireless remote control, excellent battery life, around 3 hrs per charge on dvd playback, and an affordable price. The only thing I added was an after-market external antenna for the tv function, though there is one included, it was very inferior and only extended about 2 inches so I purchased a better quality portable antenna and this thing gets a picture that is comparable to my flat screen in the living room.... couldnt be more satisfied with my purchase.
