Easy to Install and Works Perfectly
Super easy plug-and-play installation. The 3X lock start works just as described. Started my F-150 with no issues. Highly recommend!

Works as advertised. Setup is unbelievably simple.
Great buy for my 2016 f150 (coyote) Installed this on my lunch break in about 4mins. Works like a charm so far. Let's hope it is has longevity now, will update if anything changes.

Works as Expected
Works as expected! 3 locks and it started right up. Directions a little unclear as it's a more general install. For a 2018 F150, the harness plugs directly into the back of the OBD2. Spent a couple minutes popping panels before I thought to look at the OBD2.

It can't really be this easy!
I bought a different truck this past fall and it didn't have remote start. You would think a $57,000 vehicle would have this feature, but it didn't. So, I started looking for a remote starter add-on. Everything I looked at, and they weren't the ones with all the features, were running $250-$400 installed. Ouch! And, then I came across a YouTube ad for the Start-X Remote Start Kit. All the reviews said it was great, installation was a breeze, etc. So, I sent for one, an early Christmas present to myself. The box arrived in a few days. Not much inside; a cable, a little black magic box and some zip ties. Instructions were just as clear and easy as what I saw on the YouTube video. Unplugged the cable underneath the steering column, plugged in the new cable and the black box on the other end of it. Turned the key on and it programmed itself, just like the video. Pressed the door lock button on my key fob (no extra fob device needed) three times and it started. And, three weeks later, it's still starting the truck. Zip tied the black box under the dash, put the directions in the glove box and a warm feeling of "yes, this was a good purchase" came over me. All in about 20 minutes. And, I saved $130-$250 by not buying a retail installed rip-off. No, the brand name units aren't inferior, but what they want to charge you for the fob and the install makes no sense if this is really as easy for every brand. Check it out for yourself.

Get lock unlock lock instead
If I had done more research I would have purchased a lock unlock lock model so I dont hear a beep after 2 unlock presses and on the 3rd press. Its very irritating on my wifes 2017 f150. I reached out to support to ask about android aps and cell modules but never heard back. It works but I would not buy it again. Its fortunate that Im handy with cars and can use forscan to remove the horn beep. I had to buy a more up to date elm device though so it cost me extra and made install time an hour.

Did not work for me, but...
This seemed too good to be true... and unfortunately for me, it turned out to be so. I received the unit, and installed per the instructions (incredibly easy). The unit would not update, and all I ever got was a red light. I uninstalled and re-installed per instructions multiple times, eventually blowing a cluster fuse on my truck.I contacted tech support, and was informed the fuse blowing issue has happened "a time or two". Thankfully, they were able to help me narrow down which fuse was the likely problem. They also suggested I return the unit which blew the fuse, as it was likely faulty, and request a replacement. So I returned the original unit, and once I received the replacement, installed it exactly per instructions. Tech support additionally advised me of a way to "reset" the unit while installing, which also did not help. The unit still would not update and would never work.Per the product page, this item should work perfectly on my 2018 F-150 5.0 XLT. And yes, I have the hood pin, and there is no other reason listed why it shouldn't work. But it simply won't, and that's too bad, because the idea and the install were very easy, and much cheaper than some other aftermarket remote starters.UPDATE: After returning the second unit, tech support reached out to me again to see how it performed. Once they learned it had the same issues, they sent me a 3rd unit, as well as a slightly different model, free of charge, to try out. The 3rd version of this unit still did not work on my truck, but at this point I have to assume there's something unique about my truck which is causing the issue. The slightly different model they sent me to try (lock-unlock-lock vs lock 3x) works GREAT, with nearly the same simple install. Works every time, with no issues. After all is said and done, they have great customer service, and a very good product!

Works great
A buddy of mine installed this on his truck and said it works great. Dealer wanted $600 to install theirs. Got this and literally took 5 mins to install- securing the box took longer than the actual install.
