The FatStack pickup is a proprietary design created by Nordstrand that takes the traditional J bass pickup design and expands its tonal capabilities. They can be wired as either single coils or in hum canceling mode.

These pickups are awesome. I can here all the stings evenly; the highs, mids and lows are all present. I feel like they brought out the true tone of my Tobas Basic 5 Growler. I highly recommend these pickups
