These socks were an answer to a problem I had. After surgery my feet were so swollen I couldn't get shoes on. I wanted to go places, like church, but couldn't wear shoes. These were perfect to wear with a long black skirt. People didn't even know I didn't have shoes on because they worked so perfectly. The grips on the bottom helped with traction on smooth floors, and they kept my feet warm in the air conditioning. They are comfortable, come a little higher on my leg (helping to hide the fact of no shoes), and gripped well.

I wear a US size 9 shoe. These socks fit me perfectly. They are made of an unusual synthetic fabric that has a very thick texture similar to a bath towel. As a result, I can wear them around the house during the winter. We keep our thermostat set quite low, and the air ner the floor is considerably colder than where the temp controller is located on the wall. So I need warm socks during the winter!Although I wear sandals around the house and need these to keep my feet warm, the main reason why I bought these is for balance training on an advanced 16" dia wobble board. Until I got these socks, I kept sliding off the board as soon as it tilted slightly. It is cheating to use tight fitting running shoes with well developed foot beds inside. No shoes allowed! The soles of these socks provide just enough friction to keep my feet in place on the wobble board-- even when it tilts over at an angle. The exercise is still quite challenging, but without the needlessly frustrating complication of having inadequate foot traction.Note:These socks are so warm, that I will try using them for winter riding on my mountain bike -- in the snow!

I ordered the largest size. I wear women’s 11 shoes, so Sox for men’s 10 should fit. Ordered xl, just in case. Glad I did. They wouldn’t have fit. Don’t know yet if they’ll shrink.

I broke some bones and tore a ligament in my leg a few weeks back and will be in a walking boot for too long and these socks were purchased to cover my injured foot while it was in the walking boot and exposed to the fall/winter weather around my foot. I intentionally bought these to be too large for comfort and swelling concerns. So given these facts and circumstances I absolutely love these socks! They are extremely soft, comfortable and feel wonderful. The only downside which is minor and very specific to me (or others with swollen/broken legs) is that the socks shrink a little if you dry them in a dryer. Easy fix is to stretch them with your hands and they become the wonderful socks I love again. I bought a variety of socks in hopes of finding a pair that were superior to "hospital socks" and I find myself saving these socks for days when I have to go outside or have company over. These are the best of the bunch and I would readily buy them again for broken legs or even as footies for healthy feet. Five stars.

"Grippy" surfaces on the bottom of the socks work well but the entire sock is prone to rotate around on feet.

We have tried 10 different non slip hospital socks, and this is the first one that has met all expectations…. Didn’t shrink in wash….rubber on bottom has not come loose and fallen off …they are strong enough to pull up without stretching or ripping…and they are warm… also long enough to go up legs past the ankle area…A+

Right now, both my feet and legs are wrapped in a cast like dressing covered by several layers of gauze and self adherent wrap tape. On top of all that I need to wear a slipper sock and these Non Skid Hospital Socks are perfect! I bought these blue ones, the beige ones, and the grey ones. The nurse that changes my dressing every other day at the hospital even commented on how nice and soft they were.The rubber treads on the bottom of the socks truly are non skid, and they aren't uncomfortable to walk on like so many of the socks that have the little round "rocks" of rubber.I wear a size 5 to 6 shoe, and I bought the One Size fits all. Even with all the wrapping and dressing on my feet, these socks still fit perfectly, and I know that they will fit just fine once my feet are back to normal.
