I would definitely recommend this fan for smaller rooms. Compared to most fans I've used, this one is pretty quiet, but the little noise it does make is like a nice white noise for me (I'm a light sleeper). The price for this fan was really reasonable. I have to have circulating air in my room almost constantly so I didn't want to buy a really cheap fan that would die in a short period of time or one that would have to be set on high just to get some air flow. I'll tell you, this is a pretty powerful table top fan. I've never had to use any setting but low on mine, and it oscillates very smoothly. When you get this fan, you have to put it together yourself, but have no fear...it's extremely easy to do! And don't panic when you pull it out of the box and realize that it is all plastic and may, at first glance, seem cheaply made. This is a very light, but sturdy little fan. It's also very easy to take apart and clean, which you can't say about a lot of fans these days. I love this fan so much that I ordered another one for my office when our air conditioning quit working. Don't look any further for a nice table top fan.

I own 3 of these fans and I love them. I've had two of them for five years and run them daily for many hours. I haven't had a single problem with any of them. They are made entirely of plastic, so are very lightweight. It requires some assembly, but the few pieces snap together easily. The instructions are easy to follow and have pictures to assist. This also makes it very easy to disassemble when it needs cleaning. I'm an old lady with arthritis and even I was able to easily put it together in just a few minutes. The fan has three speeds and oscillates across a wide area. The higher the speed, the louder the fan is. It can also tilt up and down to direct the air flow. The fan's two control buttons, speed and power, are located behind the fan at the top.The only negative that I find with the fan is that it's a little loud. It's not an offensive sound and in fact a lot of people find the sound of a fan soothing and use it for white noise. If I'm sitting right next to it, I have to turn it off to talk on the phone. But if its 10'-15' away, it doesn't interfere with conversation. The sound is quiet and soothing enough to run it all night in my bedroom without disturbing my sleep. The fan not only looks nice, but works great as well.

I’ve had an identical lasko fan for years . For some reason I can’t find it . ( children?? ) I had to purchase another !! The fan works perfectly, circulates air well and is perfect to bring to any room as it is light weight . I put it together in 5 min with no difficulty. Highly recommend this fan

I bought this Lasko 12-inch table fan for my mom, and she loves it. It’s lightweight, easy to move around, and the three speed settings give her just the right amount of airflow. Quiet enough for reading or watching TV, but powerful enough to keep her cool.

I have now purchased 3 of these fans. They are inexpensive, but work well. We've really tested them out in my house too, as our central air is broken and we have had a pretty serious heat wave going on here. They need to be put together, but this can be done with no tools required. It's pretty simple to get them put together. They are pretty quiet when running. 2 of them are in my kids' bedrooms and they like them as well. I have also purchased a couple high velocity fans from this same company and have been happy with those as well. I've seen some reviews of this brand of fans saying that they gave off a funny smell, but that has not been my experience at all. All 5 of my Lasko fans have been running pretty consistently for weeks now and I have no complaints. The first one of these table fans I got was last summer (2015) from Bed Bath & Beyond and it still runs well. The other 2 table fans and the 2 high velocity fans all were purchased through Amazon this summer (2016). I will try to remember to update with how they have held up over time. UPDATE 2023: All our Lasko fans are still going strong! Definitely recommend this brand!

Good enough fan, quiet, good air flow, but I HATE that the parts INSIDE are plastic. I was cleaning out the grill and wiping off the blades because they had collected a fair amount of dust, and as I was getting the front grill put back on, the arm that controls the oscillation snapped. (This happened like 5 minutes ago). I like the fan overall, so I'm purchasing the same one, but I wish they'd start making the inside mechanics exclusively metal.
