Country Life Chewable L-Lysine Supplement with Vitamin D and Elderberry, Immune Support and Collagen Renewal for Skin Tissue, Ideal for Adults

I tried lysine capsules and would almost choke, but for relief of cold sores, I continued taking them. My daughter told me able these chewable tablets, and yes I am chewing them anything to have relief. So far I have not had another break out. The taste was not good at first, but I have gotten used to it. I do not think they are too large or have a bad smell. They almost taste a little like chocolate. I will continue as long as I see good results.

I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about the taste. I think if you're good with TUMs then you're fine. It's a little chalky like Tums with a citrus flavor. Not at all like other people are describing. I prefer this over a giant horse pill.

I bought these for my child who suffers from cold sores due to allergies. I take lysine as an adult and it has helped me greatly with cold sore prevention and healing. I personally take a giant horse pill that I have to swallow. I knew my ten year old would not be able to do that, so I bought this chewable kind instead. The first time he ate the pill, he threw up because he said it tasted so bad. He can be dramatic sometimes when it comes to new tastes, so I tried it myself. Damn near threw up myself. This is awful. I cannot see any kid willingly taking this and I personally wouldn’t force it on them. I do not recommend.

I love this product. As a person that can't swallow pills, I love that this is in a chewable tablet. Taste great and delivers in a package that prevents damage to the glass bottle.

I bought this and the Lyranda l-lysine. To compare they are different in strength and the directions are also different. I read all the reviews for both chewables. This, I agree is not the best when it comes to taste, but it is a natural flavor compared to the Lyranda, which is a artificial flavor, which I tend not to do well with. I would rather chew these tangy orange twist ones over the nasty pineapple flavor any day of the week!!! The Lyranda is 1G (a HUGE chewable) vs this at 600mg each. This is certified GF, which I need as I noticed that I get itchy when I take the Lyranda chewable, which claims to be GF, but doesn't have the certification. I bought this because my skin has gone nuts lately, not sure if it's from the low temperatures or what, but it has not been happy! I have random rashes everywhere, and my mouth is extremely dry, no lip product that I use seems to moisture it enough. I've only been taking this for a few days, but already noticed that some of my smaller rashes have started to heal. If my mouth and larger rashes heal from this supplement, I will come back and update this review. I'm not sure if there are other options for chewable l-lysine, but I would recommend this for sure given my other option. I suppose I'll keep the Lyranda as a backup and last resort over this one. You have to pick your battles - the Lyranda is AWFUL compared to this so...take my opinion with a grain of salt and decide for yourself.

Bought these about 2 weeks ago. I can not attest to potency since I've only taken a few so far. Have only managed to take 3 so far because I really dislike the flavor. I'm not sure what the flavor is really suppose to be.. but it's not good. My daughter and I have chronic illness and take alot if chewable type vitamins due to delayed stomache digestion ( gastroparesis) and also my daughter can't swallow pills. Can any kids swallow pills these days? It seems like these new generations have lost this very important life skill. And i give up trying to get her to learn. Life is too short. So, she refused to take it. I had filled her weekly pill case, including 1 of these lysine chewables for each day. But the vitamin, having been exposed to air, oxidizes and changes color, getting dark spots. She took 1 look at that and it was a BIG NOPE. And time is precious and I refuse to open the bottle daily.. life is too short. So she's out. Then there's me.. gagging when i took the 1st one and thereafter at the thought of taking it. I'm a pretty disciplined person.. i managed to take 3. And then I tapped out. Sorry. Thanks for trying. There really isn't any other selection for a lysine chewable. So , I guess I will be looking for a tablet or capsule. Oh.. but I guess I COULD break it in half and just swallow it! .. hmmm. I'll attempt that and get back to you.

Love that there is chewable Lysine. This product is great if you have a child that suffers from cold sores and cannot swallow huge pills like regular lysine.

I have been taking this for the past three months. I am on my third bottle now. I have noticed that my cold sores heal faster than before and that I get then less often. The taste is a bit weird, but manageable, it taste like Lysine with orange flavor (break a regular lysine cap and taste it) I'll rather chew this than swallowing those big pills
