This is a no muss no fuss humidifier
I've been looking for an alternative to my usual methods of dealing with winter dryness in my home. I've tried a few different humidifiers, but this is my first "ultrasonic" unit. I have to say I'm pleased. Firstly, the unit comes with instructions you probably won't need. It's easy to open and fill, and my only real gripe is that the handle for carrying the water tank isn't fully attached to unit, and can come loose if you lift it the wrong way. Beyond that one small criticism, this unit is fantastic. It's quiet, doesn't seem to get deposits from my super hard water (some say to use filtered in the unit, but I've had zero issues with tap water). The unit puts out a nice amount of humidity for a large room. There's a very small amount of noise, but it's basically humming and if you're like me and like a "white noise" background noise as you sleep, this may actually be a benefit. My skin is feeling better, I'm breathing better with less winter sinus issues, and I'm getting no more "static shocks" touching things in my home. Fantastic little unit!

SO quiet!!!
I bought this humidifier for my husband and I because our sinuses get so dry in the night. I was amazed at how quiet this humidifier was. I know people who buy a humidifier and use it as a noise machine as well because it's so loud. But this one is so quiet! It's amazing. It also holds a lot of water and seems to work well. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is just because it took my husband and I some getting used to of how it needs to be picked up. If you pick it up the wrong way then you'll pull a part of it off. So just be careful of that. Other than that, love everything!

Great at first, but started acting up after 5 months use.
I purchased my humidifier 5 months ago. I loved it at first! It's quiet and powerful. I use it at night- the tank lasts about 3 nights, there aren't any lights on the machine, and the cooling mist really helped with my sinus issues. The tank isn't too difficult to clean. I would wipe it down once a week and use white vinegar occasionally. About a week ago, I turned it on before bed and after about 20 minutes, the motor started making a loud sound, so I shut it off. The next day, I unplugged it and cleaned it out, then tried it again. Same issue. I'm worried about using it any more and will probably contact the seller to report the issue.

Sleek, simple, effective...
I've had and continue to have a need for humidifiers for many years due to living in dry climates, along with having asthma, so I'm no novice to the qualifications required to satisfy my needs. In the quest to evaluate this unit, I was initially impressed with the quality of the packaging, outside print, and the inside compactness and fit. I feel it would be hard to damage these units in shipping. Upon opening and removing the humidifier, it was an easy, simple assembly with few parts. The look is like a tower, sleek and simple. The instructions were direct to the point where the top cap comes off revealing the tank with a handle. Lift the tank out, fill with water, and place back in position, which is simple and self directed. The tank then fills the reservoir. Replace the top cap on the tank and your ready for operation. The only control/switch is obvious on the center bottom of the unit with clockwise turn from off to on, then showing the flow volume from low to high, based on your need for the volume of the room. I put the unit on max flow and was impressed with its operation and how adjustable the rotating top nozzle directed the vapor flow. The units shape makes cleaning and sanitizing a breeze. This Pallas unit worked flawlessly and easily lasted thru the night and more, and I would have no reservation recommending this to anyone and feel it is a high quality product.

Super awesome, but always seems to need cleaning; made us sick
I love love love this humidifier. We purchased one last winter that was awesome, no noise, no fuss, beautiful air. Honestly, we used tap water, never cleaned it, had no issues for months. Then we forgot about over the summer, left water in it, it grew stuff -totally our bad! We threw it away and replaced it with a second one. Still works great! Same silent beautiful humidity, but with this one we've had so much trouble keeping it clean! Every time we lift it up, there's stuff growing in there; white stuff, cloudy stuff, pink stuff. I tried cleaning it per manufacturer instructions (recomended once per week) with lemon juice and a clean rag, but we got really sick with some respiratory irritation, pleuric pain, nasty coughing, etc. after I did that. Took us several days to figure it out, finally we turned the humidifier off, and all our symptoms started getting better within a few hours. But I really love this humidifier, so I did some research, soaked everything in vinegar water, ran vinegar water through it for about an hour, then fill it with distilled water to run. No more getting sick after that, so that's how I clean it now, once a week, and we only use distilled water. It still works great, but every time I fill it, I see stuff growing in there and worry about our air quality, and the possibility of getting sick again. The only thing we could do differently, I'll admit, is change the water every day (which is also manufacturer recommendations) but we typically just fill it halfway and let it run until it's empty, 1.5-3 days. So, that's my mixed review. I really loved the first one, and it's really frustrating to have to do so much more maintenance now, especially since the cleaning doesn't seem to be working super well. I've thought about buying another one, but I'm not sure it'll be any better. Who knows? Your mileage may vary.

It’s heavy, it’s cumbersome.
It is very quiet. However, in order to refill it, you have to pick the whole unit up by the bottom. If you don’t, it comes apart and water spills everywhere. It is heavy when filled. Also, I bought an extended warranty. I was given instructions to register with an email provided. When I attempted to do that, the email was returned as “undeliverable”. That inspires a lot of confidence..not. I would not buy this, knowing what I know.
