I bought a couple of these towels for my trip to Maui recently. I love how easy they were to pack. The material is soft and lightweight, yet absorbent. I love the zipper pocket, it’s perfect for your phone, room key etc.. The sand just shakes right off making it easy to wash. I also packed one in my backpack carry on and used it on the plane as a blanket! Great buy!

I also bought a microfiber towel to compare them for an upcoming trip. They are both lightweight, dry quickly, and fold up into a small package. The microfiber towel has an odd feel (not unpleasant, just odd) and you pat dry (can't rub with the microfiber). I have not been to the beach so I cannot make a "sand" comparison. My concern was that this towel would not dry quickly, but after hanging on the porch railing it dried very quickly. I really like this towel and plan to get some for a friend to replace the bulky towels that she uses on her boat. (BTW she loves them.)Update: I bought more for 3 friends with boats and they all love them. Makes a great gift. Like anything wet, a small amount of sand will stick to the towel. No more than the microfiber towels, though (we did a side-by-side comparison). I took this on a snorkel boat and and it was chilly on the ride back to the dock. I wrapped up in the wet towel not expecting it to help much, but it kept the wind off and I was comfortable.

I love this towel/shawl/whatever you want to call it - blanket? I know it is billed as a towel, but I have not used it yet to dry water after a swim to rate the absorbency.I bought it as I wanted something travel friendly -- and light -- that I could use as a blanket if I wanted to sit in a park or the beach. Turns out I also like wearing it when I am out in the sun in case I want to drape it across my shoulders to stay out of sun. I also have it on the edge of my bed right now. Could be a little softer but really it does not bother me but I could also wash it because it says it gets softer afterwards. (But it is plenty soft for me, last night I was out with it again, walking around to keep cool and keep bugs off as dusk, I ended up using it as a tablecloth too with food I picked up!).I have not washed or dried to see how it holds up or if shrinks (I hope not!) and have not used as towel yet--- but so far I adore it and love the style and color and size and ease - I really do love the look (I have the blue with thin white lines) -- and find it multi-useful.

Love beach turkish towels! I love the quality, the generous size and the pocket on this towel. I am considering the colour 'LILAC'. Is it really lilac-lavender ... or more greyish?

These towels are fantastic. Super lightweight, dry quickly, and perfect for travel... not eating up space or weight in the luggage. The zipper pocket - about the size of a CD case - was SUPER handy in a recent beach trip, and is big enough to hold all of the necessities - phone, keys, glasses, etc.They're also surprisingly soft right out of the packaging, and the cute little Nazar Boncuk (evil eye) charm that comes pinned to each towel is a really cute touch!

I bought two of these towels to bring to the beach for me and my husband, they are so beautiful but most importantly so functional!! They are so light weight they gave us much needed space in our beach bag but are thick enough that they work well and dry very quickly we used them for 4 days and all 4 days we used them it was all day in and out of the water! And don’t get me started on the pocket it is very discreet and I felt safe leaving my valuables in them while cooling off in the water, these towels are must have!! I have even considered buying more and using them to replace our bathroom towels to save space, definitely the best purchase I’ve made on Amazon so far! I unfortunately don’t have a picture of them on the beach but I will post a photo of them for reference 10/10 very high quality

I loved the idea of the zippered pocket and the size but it's as thin as a dishtowel and I really need a towel to dry off with at the pool- if you want a towel to lie on on the beach or whatever this would work- it wouldn't absorb sand and would dry quick but I'll send it back and keep looking

I love this towel because it's so multi-purpose. Great for traveling! I have taken this to the beach as my blanket/towel, to colder climates as a warm scarf, on planes as a blanket or rolled up as a neck pillow, and have been saved by it when hostels don't offer complementary towels for the shower. The pocket is a nice touch, but I've rarely used it. The pattern matches the pocket perfectly, though, so it is quite subtle.
