The wooden fruits are easy to puck up and the velcro attachments are easy to separate with the knife provided. It's fun to learn what tge fruits are and then dirt them by colors too. Even though its a dull knife supervision when the knife is being used is important and can be put away if you leave the room. Easy to clean, but needs mire time to dry. Teaches dexterity.

Well made & durable as should be expected from this brand. Kids like playing with it. Velcro is sometimes very sticky so they may have to push hard with wooden knife to cut them up. Good add on toa play kitchen for either boys or girls.

This is a really well-made pretend food set, and my child loves playing with it. The wooden pieces are sturdy, colorful, and sized well for little hands. The Velcro “cutting” feature works nicely and keeps kids engaged, and the included wooden knife and crate are a great bonus for storage and imaginative play. The fruits look realistic and hold up well to repeated use, which is what I expect from Melissa & Doug. It’s been a fun way to encourage pretend play, coordination, and basic food recognition. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that the Velcro can loosen a bit over time, so some pieces don’t stick together as firmly after lots of play. Overall though, it’s a solid, classic toy that I’d still recommend.

I bought this item on a discount (~$11) as an add on for grandsons Christmas present (a Step 2 Kitchen). What good is a play kitchen without play food. I loved this set had the play knife and ability to cut your food. My grandson (age 3) loved it and played with it quite a bit. I'd say this completely worth the cost and bring made of wood will ensure it lasts through more grandchildren.

Got this for my 1 year old he doesn’t quite know how to cut the pieces yet but it’s cute the pieces stick better than I expected them too he has a smaller kitchen we got off Amazon not very pleased with the kitchen itself will be getting a better one but if u have a bigger one this would look really cute on it kinda bigger than expected too looks easy to wipe off for the price I would say it’s worth it but if u have a little more to spend I would definitely get a different set with more in it u can hear the chopping especially if it’s on wood we flipped the crate over to chop the fruit together definitely great for learning colors and fruit
