H Potter Glass Terrarium Wardian Case Succulent Planter Container for Plants WAR142

I would not be exaggerating to say that this is my favorite thing I have ever purchased for myself. This terrarium is absolutely beautiful! The glass is thick and clear and the finials are solid and the whole piece just feels incredibly well-made. Plus, I can’t say enough wonderful things about the customer service at H Potter. This is a company that cares about the quality of their products and about their customers and it shows!! I’m very impressed and I will be buying many more terrariums from H Potter in the future. If you’ve been thinking about this one, I can tell you that I think it’s worth every penny and honestly I can’t stop looking at it. It’s a work of art.

This is my first H. Potter terrarium, and I'm very satisfied with it. It came packaged very well, with thick foam to protect the glass. It also includes a helpful guide to planting and maintaining the terrarium, which I imagine will be especially helpful to people who are new to terrariums. The glass top sits securely on the internal rim, which was my main worry, and the base includes a plastic liner, which is great considering the moisture involved. I was initially worried about trying a Wardian case since many of them have metal bottoms, so the fact that this one came with a liner to protect the base was a big draw for me. The design is very elegant and decorative, which is exactly what I wanted for my first Wardian case. I wanted to start with a size that wasn't tiny, but also wasn't an investment on par with the larger ones in the H. Potter range, and this one really fit the bill. If anything, it actually feels larger than I was expecting based on the dimensions! It looks very lovely now that it's planted. My taller elements need some time to grow a bit more before it looks exactly like I want it to in the long term, but if I remember, I will come back and edit in some photos once it's where I want it to be. I would definitely recommend this terrarium company. I know I'll definitely be purchasing more of their terrariums in the future!

These Wardian cases are truly works of art. I ordered the small square one and then the larger one with the curved top. At first I thought they were a bit expensive but when you see them they are well worth the price. Both came packed very carefully and arrived without breakage. Although they look delicate they are quite sturdy. They are very well made and are stunning once planted. I highly recommend them, even if you are just starting planting terrariums, these cases make your arrangements look beautiful.

This is very pretty but there are no air vents so the moisture buildup inside makes it so you can’t see what’s inside as it’s a permanent dog on the glass and our plant grew mold because there was no ventilation.

When my original order shipped with a crack in it, I called up the owner of the company. Not only did he rectify the situation with convenience and speed, but assured the replacement was packed well and arrived in a decent time. I LOVE my new terrarium, it is sturdy and beautiful. This Terrarium was a fantastic buy. It arrived in a H Potter box bubble wrapped and was protected inside by foam that separated the base and the glass top. Set up was easy and ready to go within 10 minutes with the H Potter terrarium kit that included soil, pebbles, moss and charcoal. However, the ledges that holds up the terrarium glass was a bit wonky and one side was taller (maybe a bit lop sided on one end?) than the other. I was able to find a small flat rock to sit on the ledge to even it out. With that and some dirt covering the stone, I was able to get the glass top to sit straight. The glass and top and metal base is very solid and the curved glass pieces are very well soldered and held into place well. With plants added this made an excellent focal point for a dining room table. This would make a really great gift coupled with the terrarium kit (soil, pebbles, etc.).

This is a very nice, solid, quality piece. The only problem is that it really needs some venting. To do so you have to remove the entire top and if your plants a large and spreading it's hard to get back on without crushing them around the edges.

I received a bonsai as a Christmas gift that just couldn’t handle the cold, dry northeast winter. I bought this terrarium and my bonsai immediately recovered. The terrarium not only works extremely well to keep the tree humid but it’s BEAUTIFUL and well made. I’d give it 11/10 stars if I could. I absolutely love it!
