Sena 10UPAD-HJ-02 Helmet Hardware, black

I've been snowmobiling for 17 years and always wanted a communication device so my wife and I could communicate with each other. Last helmet we bought here many years ago even had a BT denotion for Bluetooth communicator. But the devices compatible we're still bulky and weren't great so we never got one. I tried some various options with some walkie talkies, but still.. no luck.Finally replace my helmet as it was very old and saw this. Got one and tried it out. Audio was great - I am able to listen to music and even take a phone call. So we got my wife a new helmet (hers was old and due for replacement as well) and got this to go with it too. We can now communicate easily while on the trail and it works great. If I'm listening to music, I just press the center button and switch to intercom. She can do the same and it will switch me over as well.If you have a helmet that is compatible with this and you want music or communication between others with the same helmet/device, then this is a great purchase!Update - just about a year later and I'm still very happy with it. Just got another to put in my son's helmet.

The ability to plug and play right in the helmet is awesome and installation was relatively hassle free. Sound quality is good, the microphone is decent, and folks on the other end couldn't tell I was on a sportbike going 75mph. Why 3 stars? The battery life is horrible. I have a 45 minute commute to work each way, so about 90 minutes overall. I turn the system off when I get to work and after I get home; if I don't charge it overnight, the thing is dead the following morning. I expect more from Sena.

Awesome investment if you ride and want bluetooth installed in your helmet. Able to listen to music or listen to the radio . The Intercom capability is awesome too .

Perfect fit. Easy install. Speaker quality poor.Mine worked for exactly 14 months before the microphone(s) went out.Would not buy again.

Sound quality is excellent. I ride a loud motorcycle and when talking on the phone while driving no one can tell I am riding the motorcycle while talking to them.

Install was easy but one of the pieces was bent a little and didn't want to stay in place. The sound quality is ok. Not great. Distorts a bit. I just have connected to phone. Haven't tried to connect to another unit. Nice that it fits my is max 2 helmet. If I could do over, I would look around more for a better sounding unit.
