Does the job, good value for money
I bought this after my Wahoo Tickr died after about a year of use. It was well boxed and has the feel of a good quality item. No problem at all pairing it to Zwift (pair it in the app, not in your bluetooth settings) and seems to be accurate. The strap is comfortable but here is no light to indicate mode or power. Then again, many more expensive alternatives don't either and because it worked straight out of the box, it wasn't an issue.

It works as intended for half of the price than "branded" devices
Using mainly for Zwift. the android app recognizes it immediately (make sure that you are wearing it properly before checking...that is basic though as it starts working when it detects your hearth rate). It is quite accurate as I check at the same time a smartwatch and is giving pretty much the same results (the smart watch does not connect with Zwift). I recommend this rather than "branded" expensive devices that only connects to apps created by them. Even if it fails in 6 months...still not even a third of the price. Well done!

Well made giving a rock solid display
CooSpo CooSpo Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor This heart rate monitor is supplied in two parts, the monitor device along with a strong but soft elasticated strap. The monitor attaches to the strap via two push in pins which clip it into place. The reason for this is so that the strap can easily be washed if it becomes dirty or sweaty. The user manual states hand wash at no more than 30c, so a quick rinse in the sink is all this needs. The monitor itself is not waterproof so a wipe over is all that you can do with that. The heart rate monitor is lightweight being made from quality looking plastic, it's also quite small measuring just 2.5 inches in length, 1.5 inches wide, 0.5 inches high (6.5cm x 3.8cm x 1.9cm). On the rear of the monitor is a circular battery cover, this is easily removed by inserting a coin and twisting the cover. Once remove it reveals a 'CR2032 battery', these are quite common and easily obtained so are not costly to replace. The manual states the battery should last one year. There is no on/off button so you can't physically turn it on or off, instead the device detects your heartbeat so it powers on when a heart beat is detected, it then goes into sleep mode when the monitor is removed and a heartbeat is no longer detected thus protecting the battery life. The strap is elasticated and will stretch quite a long way to fit various sizes. I have a 3XL chest, but found the strap fits easily with plenty to spare, there is a huge amount of adjustment so it should be comfortable for most body sizes. The strap is secured via a metal hook which seems to be quite strong. You do need to pair this with a smart device via blue-tooth, it will not work alone. The manual claims this is compatible with both IOS and Android, although I did initially encounter a problem which I will explain below. You will need to install an app on your smart device before you can use this. Once the app is installed you need to pair the smart device with the heart rate monitor from within the app and not via the normal pairing process. You are not restricted to using a single app, there are several to choose from which are compatible with this heart rate monitor - Runtastic Pro, Strava, Endomondo, UA Run, Wahoo Fitness and CooSpo Fitness. I did initially have an issue with this, I couldn't get it to communicate with my phone or my sons phone at first despite installing the recommended apps. To the rescue customer services!.. It appears I was using it incorrectly so problems were encountered, sadly this is where the manual is a little unclear. As it was explained to me by Coospo customer services, you need to be wearing the heart rate monitor first before attempting to pair it with your phone. Your heart rate actually powers up the monitor so it will be detected by your blue-tooth, if you aren't wearing the monitor it will be in sleep mode and cannot be found by blue-tooth. That was my mistake, so take note of this if you purchase one of these. Once I found out how to use this correctly I had no issues whatsoever. Once I had paired the device to my phone from within the app there was my heart rate proudly on display. I sat idle for about 30 minutes and the heart rate monitor displayed a rest heart rate of 75 bpm, I then jumped on an exercise machine for several minutes, my heart rate gradually increased to 112 bpm. I compared this to the built in heart rate monitor of the exercise machine and both displays matched perfectly. I stopped exercising and gradually my heart rate decreased back to around 75 bpm's. The app I used also displays battery life and calories burnt, keeping a daily record of my activity heart rate. I am now over the moon with this device, it's very affordable and gives a rock solid display. A big thank you to Coospo customer service who helped educated me on the correct way to use this device. - Highly recommended! Good value for money
Nice little tool to help you calculating your calorie expenditure and help you with weight loss. The app is very easy to use and read and it connects without problems. Only thing I would improve is: when you set it up, it asks for a code and on the instructions it doesn’t say anything about it; I had to google how to find such code 🙄 and eventually found it on a review. Anyways, once you enter the email, they will send you the code to your email! I was unsure whether to buy the more expensive version but if your goal is simply calculating calories to help you lose weight this will do just fine.

Decent Heart Tracker but setup could be made much easier
I bought this product recently as I wanted to track my heart rate when playing football and doing workouts at home. The key things i look for with these types of products are: - Ease of setup - Connectivity post setup - Comfort - Does it do what it's supposed to? Ease of Setup It's a relatively easy product to setup, though it is confusing initially as the box it comes in has some instructions on the outside and the leaflet in side has some too. None of the instruction is duplicated. I think it should just be in one place, in the booklet probably, so you can keep it safe somewhere. Once i understood what i had to do, it was easy to connect, just the initial part of the setup was a bit annoying. Connectivity Post Setup I found that once connected and unless i had started a session off in the health tracking app the connection dropped. Now, i'm not sure if this was to do with my phone or the device itself, so can't be 100% sure. When it was connected though, it worked fine. Would probably need to try it a few more times and even on a different device to be sure of the connectivity. Comfort I must admit it's not the most comfortable heart rate monitor strap I've worn. While playing football i found it did dig in quite a bit. Unfortunately, it wasn't adjustable any bigger, which probably would have helped. It was "adjusted" as wide out as possible, so not great for larger people like me. Does it do what it's supposed to? Yes, is the simple answer. It monitors your heart rate when connected. Didn't have any issues in getting a heart rate reading etc.. It probably boils down to the app you use to record the information too, there are recommended apps that it will work with and i downloaded and used an app called Wahoo fitness. Overall i'd say it's a decent basic product and for the price i guess you can't expect any more, considering "better" straps are considerably more expensive. I would continue to use it probably just to get used to having one of these belts around me. If i wanted something more advanced in the future i'd probably look in to that in further detail and pay more than the cost of this strap.

Excellent Value
My (well known make of) HRM became erratic after a couple of months of (almost) daily use. I was pairing it to my smartphone running the Zwift fitness app. Co-incidently at the same time the chat on Zwift expressed disappointment with this well known make of HRM and recommended the CooSpo monitor, which is less than half the price of the well known make. Knowing my issue would not be resolved quickly, I ordered a couple of the CooSpo (Bluetooth only) monitors. Order placed Sunday pm 27 Dec 2020 and arrived 08:30 Tuesday 29. And that was with free delivery. Amazing! I am writing this following four days of daily use. An unexpected bonus is that the monitor connects more quickly to my phone than the old monitor. Very pleased so far. Will buy again even if it only lasts 6 months.

Stopped working after one use
Was happy with this as it started working and was very happy. But now it just doesn't connect with my phone or my spinning bike. Put in new batteries and still nothing. Not happy at all with this. Probably should have bought Polar brand even though it was twice as expensive.

Garmin strap replacement.
Bought to replace the original garmin strap that failed. This strap is fine, it works, and is red. It’s not as comfortable as the garmin strap but is acceptable. The “latch” works the same way as the garmin but isn’t as refined, no flap. For the price (£8) it’s a good replacement strap, don’t know about longevity, but would buy another if needed. PSA - if your garmin strap stops, contact garmin they may arrange a replacement. Also when replacing the battery in the garmin, before fitting the new battery, fit the old battery the wrong way around for about 10 mins. I’ve read that fitting the new battery too quickly can brick the unit... sigh... happened to me, fitting the battery wrong way around discharges it (??) then fit the correct way, might then work again.
