This is such a good story!
Wow, what a rollercoaster ride! But the last page... so, will Futaba & Kou accept each other, finally? If so, what will become of Narumi? She's gone to such lengths to try & win Kou's heart. And, after that spat in the park, it seems she may be verging on an obsession with Kou... hmm... not good. Take it from me, kids, scorning an emotionally unbalanced girl is a REALLY bad idea! Yes, I'm speaking from experience (oh boy, you people have no idea...). Well, Futaba, it's time to shoot or pass. What will you do? This story just keeps getting better with every volume. Art, so so good. These girl's eyes are so incredibly beautiful. I just love this mangaka's work. Dialogue, very heartfelt, very real. So emotional! Characters, likeable, relatable, admirable.

Ohmeeegawd this is killing me!!!! Reading this makes me into the fill blown overdramatic teenage drama queen I am on the inside. I totally side with Futaba believing that Kou will only be miserable by staying by Narumi’s side. It’s not coming from a completely selfish side, but it’s also not one sided either. She cares for him and would love to finally confess her feelings, but the timing is all off. Will it only inconvenience him? Kou is such a numbskull. He is trying to do the noble thing for an old friend, but it’s costing him his happiness and new beginnings. I feel bad for Narumi, but dang she’s clingy. But we’re finally getting closer to the third act. Futaba’s confessions coming up and I already know how that’s going to go and I’m so ready for her new beginnings to start in volume 8!!!!

The art is a mood.
The problems I had with the last volume were not present in this one. Sakisaka is fleshing out the rivals now, so both Narumi & Kikuchi felt less contrived as plot points and more natural as members of the story. As for the art, there weren't any highly charged moments to showcase Sakisaka's talents in this volume, but there were exquisite moments here and there. She truly is talented.
