Recliner Parts: 2 Button Push Button Black Wand for Okin Recliners

I would've given 5 stars but this plug in switch isn't backlit like my original and the up button is down and the down button is up. The handswitch is a bit bigger and does accept 2x 9v batteries for power outages. Everything else plugs right in. I should've known that the previous switch was the culprit as they get sat on, dropped, wires twisted, beverages spilt on them, vacuumed and the wires get crimped. With the $$ saved off factory and discount sites, I bought an extra and some other parts so I won't be left in a reclined position for days on end.

My dad has limited mobility due to arthritis, and uses a lift chair to help him get up and down. When it stopped working, a whole new chair wasn't really in the budget, so we decided to go ahead and try the switch to see if that fixed it. When it arrived, we were able to simply unplug the old switch and plug in the new one. It works perfectly. My dad actually likes this switch more than the one that came with the chair. He says it is easier to use and has a smoother adjustment motion. He likes the paddle shape and is quite pleased with it. We are happy that we were able to spend less than $20 to fix the chair so that he is able to have some independence still. Worthwhile investment.

The hand held power wand for Dad's Catnapper lift chair finally pooped out. I read reviews for this replacement and everyone said it was just was they needed. I placed my order and the package arrived in a few days. Swapping out the old for the new was easy peasy and Dad's chair was operational again in under 10 minutes -- the toughest part was turning the lift chair over to make the switch. I'm a 61 year old woman who is fairly "challenged" when it comes to DIY repairs, so if I can do this without a sweat, anyone can. This replacement power wand is exactly what I needed and works perfectly.

Someone gave me a nice recliner. I think it's an older model. the remote acted up but my husband was able to fix it. Turned out to be a lose wire. It started me thinking about how worthless the chair would be without the remote so I looked around for a replacement to have on hand. As usual I found just what I was looking for right here. I was 99% sure it would work so took the chance since it was being shipped by Amazon and I knew I could return it if it was the wrong one. Tried it out as soon as I got it and it's just what I needed. This seems to be a pretty universal part for Okin recliners.

It turns out that the 5-pin round DIN connectors on most lift chair and recliner control pendants -- the ones that only go up and down -- are interchangeable. I was looking at prices upwards of $140 for a replacement pendant from Pride, and who knows how long it would have taken to ship. Plus I got free 2-day shipping with Prime.If you need an extension cord, it's the same connector used for MIDI and old PC keyboards.
