Cooks Concept 3-Piece Ceramic Santoku Paring and Peeler Set

Love the knives & potato peeler! Everything I expected & more! They are all very sharp & cut through meat to tomatoes easily!! The potato peeler takes a bit to get used too, but works much better than a regular peeler! Would recommend these everyone!!!

I bought this set for my office in January 2014 and it is now June 2014 and BOTH KNIVES are broken... straight from the handle. The first, smaller knife broke while slicing ice cream cake and the second one broke just this morning while cutting open a chocolate to check the center... I was gracious to accept the smaller one breaking. I still had the larger one, I didn't feel completely duped out of my dollars. NOW THIS!!!! I would not recommend you purchase this set at all. It was just being used maybe, not even once a week in a small office of 12 people. It did not get regular home kitchen use! It should not have only last us 3 and 6 months. So disappointing!

The media could not be loaded. Initially, they are pretty sharp. I wouldn't say as sharp as higher end ceramic knives, but definitely as sharp as nice steel ones. Unfortunately, there's a design flaw on the larger one (which may mean it's also there on the smaller one). While cutting mushrooms and garlic, the blade fell off. Turns out the ceramic part in the handle is a really thin stem, which is further compromised because there's a hole that's drilled through it. Generally, this design might be sufficient, but I think there's a difference between this material and higher end ceramic knives. Now I have to go out of my way to ship a broken blade back to Amazon.UPDATE: Manufacturer has fully refunded the knife, without asking to send the broken blade back. 5 stars for customer service. Perhaps I had a defective knife, but they were a pleasure to deal with.

We were excited about trying the ceramic knives after using them at one of our daughter's homes. Her's cut like a razor. We ordered the Cooks Concept 2 piece knife set and initially they seemed fine, not as sharp as my daughter's but they cut through tomatoes and apples very well. We have had them less than a month and have not cut anything that could be deemed extremely hard. No frozen foods [as the warning says] etc.,. and we are not heavy users of the knives. Now they are, at best, average or below average in sharpness compared to our steel knives. Where I use to always reach for the ceramic knives, now I find I'll choose the old steel knives. They can be sharpened, whereas the ceramic can't be, at least using the conventional sharpener. The other thing is that the knives get discolored very easily. Maybe, we got a bad set.

Excellent! Very sharp! i saw it at my friend's house. and Love it. only thing is that you need to remind everyone to be aware that this is a VERY SHARP knife, because it certainly does not look like one.

Great knives for a great price. Nicely packaged, they are very sharp. The handles are comfortable to hold and well balanced. The rounded tips are probably less likely to crack and chip that more expensive knives.

This is a great buy. Just go to any store and see the price for a single Ceramic knife. This package gives you three items. Very easy to use this knives. I use it for bread, fruit, meats without bone, cheese, and just about anything else that does not have a bone attached. Easy to clean. Have not broken either the knives or the peeler in four months use. More sturdy than what I thought they were going to be.

This was my second set of ceramic knives. I purchased this one specifically for the veggie chopping knife. They come beautifully boxed, and work great. This set is a little stronger than my first ceramic knives. They get a lot of use and I actually loved them so much I ordered a second set as a gift for a friend and had them direct shipped. She had never used ceramic knives and called me all excited at how great they worked. This is an especially good set for veggie lovers or vegans. No more brown fruits and veggies from metal knives and a simple rinse to clean.
