This is surprisingly well made for less than $5 and it also was delivered faster than most domestic orders.This is not the hat for wind because it is so light it can be blown up and off when using the chin strap.This is not a good sun blocking hat for those cloudless bright sun days. The vent webbing allows too much sun to pass unchallenged and the top is just one layer of material which in direct Sunlight renders the cooling factor of the web venting NA.This is not the hat for you if your hat size is less than a Mans 71/2 and 8 or 81/2 would probably be a perfect fit.I am a perfect 7 and while it does not fall over my eyes the least bit of breeze even with the strap and the hat is off and flying.So why the 5 stars ?Simple answer is well made and super cheap.

The hat is surprisingly well-designed and made of good materials. But it's just way small. So, I gave it to my wife, who likes to wear a size 7 and she's happy with the hat for the intense UV-levels of El Paso TX.

Had this for 6 years. It's still in great shape! Cool and comfortable, great hat for the price!

Its airy as intended size is smaller than stated i wear 7 1/4 hat what i got is maybe a 7 if lucky

Brim is smaller I person and is very ,very thin and cheap. Feels like a disposable hat. It is very light and head band is rough and even more cheaply made. Bummer because I was excited by the photo .

Just got the hat, and just like the reviews have stated a few times the hat is small.I wear a 7 3/4 fitted hat. But that usually take care of the problem I just soak the hat and water and put it over a flowerpot and stretched it out,within 15 minutes it fit. If that is the only problem than,that's fine it's a five dollar hat and you get what you pay for .

Has a cooling effect. I have worn it on two long hikes and I love it. a must buy, especially for this price.

its fits my head (7-1/2) and I love it.It will be perfect for Texas summer weather.
