It was exactly what I wanted to make one cup of tea. It is easy to fill with loose tea, and cleanup is fast. I prefer using metal to plastic for flavor and health concerns. No chance of consuming any micro plastics. You can vary the strength of your brew by how much tea you put in it.

I screwed up and bought a 1 lb bag of Chamomile flowers instead of tea bags. I have an old single serve tea/coffee maker and tried doing in its built-in filter, but it was too flimsy and fell apart while "cleaning" it (I partially glued it back together). Then I had a single serve mini filter I tried -- too messy. So I saw this thing and ordered "it" ("it" comes in a pair and the other is idle). I didn't realize "instructions" were on the back, but they're not much help. Being a retired engineer, I "knew" I could figure out the optimal way to use it, but I had to suffer through the rough spots. I found that there is supposed to be an indent to help align the two halves, but the indent isn't much so it slips too easily. I hook the "hook' on the end to the lip of my stainless steel cup and it stays OK. If you find that it won't "close" (the clips won't fit on the outer edge), then it's likely that you haven't fully engaged the indent into the alignment hole. I scoop the two halves of the open filter into the bag of tea and then level them off and clamp the halves together "carefully" since they clamps won't work if the hole on the "open" side doesn't fit well over that vague indent. Also, there is (was) a ring that connected to a mating spot on the "fixed" side, but it fell off once, so I reattached it. Then it fell off, again, ..and again.. So I "fixed" it using a small (i.e. 0.25 inch) keyring that attached well and haven't had an issue since. To clean it, I go outside and "shake it off" into the yard (I do get weird stares from some neighbors) and then rinse it before hanging it to dry for its next use (I usually only use it once before bed).

Feels durable and came as expected!

Great improvement over my old ones that were falling apart. I like the size of these and that the edges close snuggly so there are no pieces slipping out. There is a tiny peg and hole into which it fits to keep the two sides aligned when closing. The hook at the edge of the chain is another plus. I use these primarily for adding spices to soups so there are no unappetizing pieces of leaves or spices floating around. The hook attaches to the edge of the pot which makes it easy to remove. These are quality tea balls. I highly recommend them.

These work for tea diffuser but have to be careful. They are a bit flimsy. I also just received 1 not the 2 listed.

Tea ball won't close tightly so the tea floats into your cup.

Great product only if the joints were tighter. I have had to tighten and put it back together after every use as it always breaks apart

These are well made and the closure is a solid, tight fit. I even got a bonus - a little box with 4 more of them with a sticker that said 'Thank You'. That's nice, but I have no need for six of these - sending the 4 extras to donation centre.
