Cute lil bugger
He's adorable. I only got one because I haven't tried them before, he came sort of quick, and missing a leg but seemed ok, he's also larger than I thought he'd be. About the size of a nickel

So cuteeee
So far so good! Crab came alive, seems to be active, and out and about! He likes the under ground caves I have at my tank. He’s in and out of them every 5 minutes. I’ve heard they are avid climbers and escape artist so I was expecting to see an escape in the first 24 hours of having him but to my relief he was there when I woke up. I named him Leonardo Da Pinchy! Update: it’s been 4 days and he is living his best life. Still very active and curious.

Love them when I see them.
The media could not be loaded. I recently ordered three of these guys after doing research and learning that Red Claw crabs (who need brackish water) would not have been a good option for my freshwater only tank. When the Pom Poms arrived, unfortunately, one was stuck up in a corner of the bag without water for an unknown amount of time, and I believe that’s the crab we ultimately lost… (picture) Otherwise the crabs, on the rare occasions we see them, are hilarious and I’m satisfied with the purchase. We were worried about them arriving during cold weather, but they had a little heater in the box and very easily to follow instructions for acclimating. Will probably get a few more soon.Update: A second crab has died and I’m afraid we may be close to the third passing as well… I’m updating this comment because the last two and now the third have all shared similar behavior. Each crab, the day before dying (and what the remaining crab is doing now) became very active in the tank, circling the perimeter, climbing, etc. The two that died already both did this, then went to the same exact spot in the tank and died. The third crab appeared yesterday, has become suddenly active like the other two, and now is sitting in the same location the other two died. I’m not sure what this behavior could mean, but I hope it helps others. Our local water (Missouri) is very hard/ high in calcium, so that may be the issue. All the fish, snails, and shrimp were bought locally so they would be used to the water (and we’ve not had problems with them); so maybe that’s why?

Disappeared never to be seen again after placing in tank.
I am very disappointed with my purchase of my Pom Pom Crab. The crab arrived alive and well. I followed all the 9 acclimation steps exactly as written. When I removed the crab and placed him at the bottom of my 10-gallon tank, he quickly scampered off to the back of the tank where it has remained invisible, now for three full days, somewhere within the (only) 4 plants. I even left the tank light off all day and night and come morning; I began with the blue (moonlight) tank light before switching over to the bright (daylight) tank light. But three days later, I have never seen the crab again since I placed it in the tank. No sign of him whatsoever. Is it hiding? If so, where and for how long? I lifted and looked under the aqua rock – not there. I carefully moved the plants aside – no sign of it there. Where did my Pom Pom Crab go!? How and why did it disappear? Very disappointed! I even bought in advance Bloodworms and Hikari Crab Cuisine, both verifiable Amazon purchases, but I can’t find a crab to feed it to! What a wasted amount of money!

Dead on arrival
I would love to give this 5 stars but unfortunately both of my crabs were dead on arrival. They looked so cute too. :( edit: they do make an easy online claim page for this. Will edit my review if I get my replacement crabs. However it does say you have to pay for shipping again, not the crabs if they do send you a replacement instead of a refund. However it really isn't their fault, as that was expertly packaged so this was just bad luck. So in the end fair.

professional packaging and rocket fast shipping.
The media could not be loaded. packaging was a+. shipping was so fast the order came at 9:15am. all 3 crabs are lively and moving quite a bit during transplant. i highly recommend this seller and i went out of the way to document it all for you. if you see any bad reviews that has to be a very seldom thing or an issue with transit and the delivery service not the seller. this company is legit.
