The classic combination of James Spader and William Shatner is just one of many reasons to savor Boston Legal. Making its highly rated ABC debut on October 3, 2004, this darkly comedic spinoff from The Practice looked like a formulaic reworking of creator David E. Kelley's previously successful series Ally McBeal, with similar plots and quirky characters enmeshed in personal and professional affairs of the heart at the prestigious Boston law firm of Crane, Poole & Schmidt. It quickly became apparent that Kelley, co-executive producer Bill D'Elia, and the show's magnificent ensemble cast were onto something equally fresh, funny, and infectiously entertaining. Both Shatner and Spader won Emmys for their original roles on The Practice, and the priceless pairing of the erratic, egomaniacal senior partner Denny Crane (Shatner, doing the best work of his career) and ethically challenged attorney Alan Shore (Spader, likewise) signaled the arrival of one of the finest comedic duos in TV history.

"Boston Legal" is Great
I was already familiar with all seasons of Boston Legal but bought this set as a Christmas gift for a family member who'd never watched a single episode. For sheer entertainment, you won't find anything better than "Boston Legal." The characters, as outrageous as they are, are beautifully developed and endlessly fascinating, as are the plots. Never a fan of Star Wars, I'd considered William Shatner a second-tier actor, at best, but after "Boston Legal," I think he deserves an Oscar.

Such fun
All came in good condition and on time. Love this show enough to watch it often. It's not always available to stream on any of my streaming and I don't like the commercials included on streaming. Now I can watch and giggle, cry and hope anytime I want.

DVD's are not dead!!!!
I travel a lot and I don't always have internet access. Having a few Shows on CD gives me some great down time binging without having to worry about glitches in the down load or the screen freezing in the middle. I will continue to love my DVD's until they start selling them on Thumb Drives.

dvd case was broken
when i received the dvds it looks like one case was dropped and the case broke . did not return because i had a case and the move was not damage.

Denny Crane!
Fabulous series.....i love the actors, the characters and the stories....James Spader steals almost every show as Alan Shore, crafty, naughty and witty entertainment. If you thought L A Law was good, you ain't seen nothing yet! Shatner is brilliant, and Candice Bergen still thrills as well as entertains.....If you want fun, intelligent and kinky entertainment, this is your venue!

You know you love this series!
I put off buying this series due to the price. When I got a second chance at this price I couldn't resist. The show comes on sporadically on tv, but half the time I've already seen it. I can finally see them all. Most of the topics are still current and even when they're not, how can you resist Spader and Shatner giving tour de force performances. Truly a one of a kind show.

Best show ever
Love this show. Only thing was at delivery the last 2 seasons case was cracked and pieces laying in box but the DVDs played fine so no harm to DVDs just the case.

hours of entertainment for the hubby
great box set, at a great price. bought as a gift for hubby, who was constantly complaining about the tv channel putting ads thoughout the show. he now is an extremely happy chappy.
