SAIJI Gooseneck Bed Phone Holder, Flexible Long Arm Phone Mount for Desk, Clip Bracket Clamp Stand, iPhone Stand, Mobile Cell Phone Stand Document Camera Nintendo Switch (Black)

I am comparing the SAIJI gooseneck phone holder, 38.6" with "leather" wrapped arm and 360 adjustable clamp clip (black) $15.99 VS the Lamicall Phone Holder Gooseneck Mount (white) $19.99. Overall, I prefer the cheaper Saiji 38.6" with 360 degree adjustable clamp. It is longer and it gives a little more leeway and height for filming things on my table. The "leather" wrapping does feel nicer while maneuvering the gooseneck. The table clamp is easier to tighten and loosen. The 360 degree clamp clip allows for easier movement when trying to get the phone angle just right for recording. The Lamicall Phone Holder Gooseneck Mount in white is slightly more expensive, but not much more. There are design features on the ends of the gooseneck that make the gooseneck less adjustable, almost like a sheath or sleeve that prevents movement. The table vise grip doesn't slide as easily and I have to use my hands to slide it open more, and the twisting mechanism to tighten the table grip isn't as easy to turn as compared to the SAIJI. The phone clamp clip does not rotate 360 like the SAIJI. Also the Lamicall gooseneck cable section is less flexible and also shorter than the SAIJI. The only thing that the Lamicall gooseneck has going for it is the white color. Both are very sturdy and are fairly lightweight although pretty durable and hold their shape really well.

I have tried about six of these. I have an iPhone 17. On all of the other ones, the ball that connects into the gooseneck always broke. It was always loose. The phone would always drop. They were not stable. This is the first one I have had that is already connected. I believe it’s a steel part and it’s excellent. The phone does not move. It is very stable. You don’t have to mess around with putting it in the gooseneck every time you can also use it vertically whereas the other ones you could only use horizontally. I love this one. They did an excellent job grateful I finally found a good one. I would highly recommend it.

Seems great. It’s very stiff so stays in place. I use it for making sewing videos and it’s the only one that works well for closeups, and easier to position than the boom mount on my tripod. I use it on a glass topped table and the clamp is very secure. Read the reviews. It’s prone to break. I’ll be careful not to bend it back and forth in the same place, and will be gentle with the plastic phone clamp. Good value for me at $12.17. I ordered the "classic" version although I meant to order the 33" one. This does not have the "upgraded ball clamp" but the phone clamp does rotate. Might be nice to have a ball clamp but that is probably a weak point, and they are often not very stable. My photo shows that it is 28" from the phone clamp to the table top. That would be shorter if you are clamping on a very thick table or board.

bought this bc ive just been resting my phone against something at my desk and my charger reaches across my room so sometimes i end up accidentally yanking the cord and launching my phone so i needed something that could withstand that force and not drop my phone LOL honestly really like it but THIS ARM IS HARD TO MOVE AROUND. from table to device, i measured the arm to be around 36 inches but it really doesnt feel like its that long because of the curves you can create the arm: not for the weak LOL - i wouldnt consider myself weak but i had to leverage it against my body and use both arms to bend it from its original position in the packaging. not impossible but just harder than expected but that does mean that the arm is strong enough to hold heavy devices. sooo i wouldnt necessarily recommend if you need to move it often. doesnt make any annoying squeaky noises when i move it around which is nice - the only sound comes from my grip squeezing the leather against the rod inside the table clamp: plastic and its stable and doesnt budge when i grabbed and jiggled it to try n move it - my desk is on wheels and i moved my whole desk with it HAHA super easy install clip device clamp: i love this clip compared to the retractable ones on the market. i love the ball rotator thing, super convenient especially because the arm is stiff AHHAA opens far enough to fit a device that is 2 inches MIN and 4 inches (MAYBE 4.25) MAX. has silicone grips so that it doesnt damage the device and doesnt let it slide or get pulled out, its super secure.

I got this so I dont have to strain my neck looking down at my phone. It has very strong cord that can be twisted however you need. It is easy to clip my phone and I love that the neck can turn easily to adapt to phone for horizontal or vertical viewing.

TL;DR: I wish I could give this item a higher rating, as they hold devices securely and stay put, but over the long-term, the plastic has snapped on every single one. Pros: - Long neck that can reach many different areas and will stay put. - Screw-on compression base that can open wide enough to fit most standard (vertical or horizontal) surfaces. - [Old Design] Has spacing between the handle and the holder, so that it can hold other small items (such as glasses). - [New Design] Much easier to open and appears to be a bit more durable (more on that below). - Has handled all our phones like a champ: from "take half your face" chonkers to iddy bitty "Zoolander" models. Cons: - [Old Design] Over time, the plastic holder appears to become brittle and snaps (sometimes at the base, sometimes at the bridge). - [New Design] While they've replaced the dinky bridge with a more uniform design, the plastic still becomes brittle causing the holder to snap. We've been buying these since 2020, but part of the reason we've been buying them is that the plastic holder will eventually give out. The longest a holder has lasted is 3 years, the shortest is just under a year, but inevitably with daily use, they have all snapped. Despite this, if purchased on sale, I would still recommend the new design, as it seems to last longer, and it's better than other models we've tested that either don't hold the device in place or have given out much sooner. A recommendation to the manufacturer/designer: if you can find a way to make the holder modular/detachable without sacrificing it's ability to hold things in place, and sell that separately for a cheaper price, that would be nice, as it's a shame to have to throw these out when the base and neck are perfectly functional.

It met my expectations after reading all of the reviews before deciding to purchase this. Previously I was using a selfie stick with a tripod that kept falling over and it wasn't designed to support the weight of my phone for whatever reason. This product clamps on to any surface I tried it on a thin shelf like a half inch wide or thick bookshelf I also clamped it to my desk which is about an inch and a half thick, and I clamped it to a kitchen cabinet so that I can make a tick tock while I was cooking and it just worked really well. It held up the phone it didn't wobble my only complaint is that it is hard to shape the wire into the correct position and once I get it into one position and move it to a different height than I want to adjust it again it's a struggle but I suppose this is actually the strength of the design. And I say that because if it were more flexible it's possible the weight of the phone would cause it to fall like with the selfie stick. So I am I am surprisingly pleased and I like how easy it is to attach and detach the clamp because I can move it from room to room as I like to walk around when I'm filming things

Updating my review as Saiji got back to me after my original review was posted. Saiji did replace both my broken gooseneck cell phone holders, so they stood by their warranty, which I appreciate. The response was not timely, so if you are trying to reach them, keep that in mind. I don't like how challenging it is to find out how to contact them, nor the delay in getting a reply, but I respect and appreciate that they replaced both broken products. As for the product itself, it touts a stronger arm, which is likely true, since the arm is slightly thicker than the gooseneck product I purchased where the gooseneck itself broke. That said, the clamp for the phone is not durable, as that's what broke, in separate places, on both mine. The stronger gooseneck is supposed to limit the amount of wobbling the phone has, and I think it actually accomplishes that. This is not a bad product, but I can't say I'm thrilled either. As long as you know what you're getting, and that Saiji's customer support will likely be slow to reply if you do need to contact them, go ahead and order one. It'll do what it says. - - - - Original Review: Frustrated with two separate clamps breaking and Saiji not replying to my request for support Buyer beware for anyone who thinks they are buying a product that will be supported for the next 18 months. I've gone through a few options with gooseneck tablet/phone holders, and while this isn't a bad product, I'm definitely frustrated with the two Saiji gooseneck phone holders I purchased. Before I get into the breaks themselves, I want to start with the frustration I have with Saiji's support: This product's description says, "✔ 24 Hours Customer Service - Any question about SAIJI cell phone stand, please contact us via E-mail first time. We have a replacement with 18 months and professional customer service support." But there's no e-mail listed on the product page. Clicking on the hyperlinked "Saiji" just goes to the Saiji store page, and also includes no info on how to contact Saiji. Fortunately, clicking on the hyperlinked "Saiji" in my order gives me their seller page (https://www.amazon.com/sp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=1&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=113-1509080-3239457&seller=A20QQOGPQZ0N7U&tab=&vasStoreID=) which states the following: "1-year warranty for quality-related issues... Contact Us E-mail: [email protected] Support Hours: Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm PST" So, which one is it? 24 hour support, or M-F 9am-5pm PT support? 12 month replacement as long as Saiji says it's a quality-related issues or 18 month support? Either way, I wrote Saiji after my first phone holder of theirs broke. I still haven't heard back. I followed up with a second e-mail, that I also haven't gotten a reply to. Their second Saiji phone holder has broken since then. These is not the most durable things in the world. Not just Saiji's phone holders, but all of the sub $25 goosenecks for tablets and phones. That said, this product is one of two that I have purchased two of, and both the Saiji's broke, while both the tablet/phone holders (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PT3T8TV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I have continue to work. I've been stuck on my back for a few months with an injury, and that's why I have multiple gooseneck holders (see the image included with the review) hanging over my head to allow me to use four devices simultaneously. Using these daily means I probably have more experience with various gooseneck tablet/phone holders in the last two months than the after reviewer has over the lifetime of their order. Any criticism (devices wobble after touched, gooseneck is stiff to bend, gooseneck droops after tablet is seated) of this product is going to be the true for the other goosenecks, at least at this price point. This is not a horrible product, it's acceptable. But as you can see in the photos, both my Saiji cell phone holders have broken in different spots. (Both are temporarily fixed with super glue.) It's just not a very rugged plastic arm that clamps on both sides of the phone. If Saiji support were responsive and replaced both their gooseneck holders as they advertise, I'd be happy and give this product a higher rating, but neither the product durability nor the support are acceptable, and as such I'm giving it two stars.
