Q: What color are these pads? I recently bought pads that were tan, not blue, but I can't remember what brand.

The pads are white. They have saved us many grrrr's. I've already bought a second pack even though we have plenty left over.

Q: For years used Simple Solution X-Large Training Pads which were quilted, heavier-duty but now are flimsy! Any recommendations?

I've had to switch to another brand. "Four Paws Wee-Wee Pads" are thick and quilted. They are amazing! I'm using "x-large" and "gigantic" to get good floor coverage. No leaking through with these!
