Damask Stencil Gabrielle - Reusable Stencils for Walls and Fabrics - DIY Wall Decor

This stencil is very beautiful but it takes a little patience and practice to get it right. Some things that helped me-Flatten prior to useOnce used shape may change so you may only be able to line up 1 or 2 points. I usually lined up the top then the middle that was off I simply rolled up close where I needed to start the new pattern without going over the previous sectionAllow few extra minutes to dryDespite not pressing hard I still had a few blurred edges, I layed the stencil on a towel and pressed lightly onto the culprit section to remove the seeped paint from the back. The pattern is 'busy' enough that a few messy edges are not noticable.My hands and tape got a little messy, keep baby wipes handy to clean up- they also removed any accident spots on the wall that I may have accidently touchedI had a hard time doing the corners even with a stencil brush. Since I planned on throwing the stencil away I wound up cutting the stencil into smaller sections. I also liked using a smaller section on the closet door. Pricey stencil to be destroying so if trying to keep whole you may need and extra set of hands to press into the corner.Still would I do it again-YES:) Thanks for reading!

I undertook the project of stenciling an accent wall in my office. I watched to video online produced by Cutting Edge and had a good idea from that presentation how to have a go at this. All that I read and heard said it would not be a long task. I have stenciled before as a border in my daughter's bedroom a number of years ago. The one strip was quite easy to do and the most work was actually moving the ladder. With this pattern it is very important you get it level. I would highly recommend spending a few extra bucks and getting the clip on level tool. You will be surprised at how well it works with this stencil and is invaluable for getting this job done. My wall took me hanging the stencil up with the blue painters tape 54 times. 9 columns across of 6 rows down plus an additional included partial stencil for the bottom. The wall is approximately 12 ft. wide and 8 ft. tall. The project took 2 days on the weekend with breaks, but it looks great. I was going for an accent wall which resembled Wedgwood China. Took about two months to arrive but OH MY GOSH YOUGUYS LOOK AT MY WALL. It’s BEAUTIFUL. This took me about 12 hours and you HAVE to get spray adhesive to get it to stick so there is no bleeding. Then you have to dry the area with a blow drier before you move to the next square. I rolled black paint onto the design first, and then alternated good and rust colored spray paint to achieve this look

In the past, I used a cheaper, flimsy stencil and it took me an entire day to do a teeny tiny wall, and I had to hand paint most of the edges. This stencil is very sturdy! I didn’t have a problem with paint bleeding through, and the ceiling stencil makes life soo much easier. I was able to finish my decent sized accent wall in just over a day. I used a pearlescent paint with a small foam roller. I was a bit worried since my wall is slightly textured, but it came out looking fabulous! Everyone thinks that it’s wallpaper, even in person! If I do any other stenciling, I will absolutely purchase from this company again.

WHEN I RECEIVED IT I EXPECTED IT TO BE BIGGER FOR QUICKER LABOR. BUT IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER AFTER I USED IT BECAUSE IT FITS WELL INTO SECTIONS. AND THOUGHT AFTER A WHILE THAT IF IT HAD BEEN BIGGER IT WOULD OF BEEN HARDER TO HANDLE TAKING IT DOWN AND PUTTING IT UP. THE RESULTS WERE BEAUTIFUL..JUST DON'T BLOP THE PAINT ON IT TO MUCH SO IT CAN COME OUT LOOKING PERFECT

I used these stencils in three bathrooms in our home and they are awesome! I have the damask and paisley patterns. They are heavy vinyl and hold up well. Easy to use and the end product is stunning. Everyone thinks I wallpapered!

I get compliments about my wall all the time. I highly recommend!! People usually think its wallpaper.
