If you're taking the MAAS and POSS together, don't buy both books. I bought both for a friend and half the books are exactly the same. She had issues with test anxiety and with figural reasoning. Wish I had bought only the POSS book now. Tests are different though from what I saw, so there's that. Each on its own has more than enough material to prep you. You don't need both.

I took the MASS test for a 2nd time a week ago and received my results today. Did not pass. I won't say that this book didn't help. I didn't have it the 1st time so it was good to have a study guide this time around. But I guess some of us need a little bit more. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or what may be missing from the book. I know that I studied and used the tips from the book as well as the practice tests on the energy companies websites. I completed a 2 yr technical program with a focus on mechanical work. I was an A student, made the Deans list and even tutored others. A lot of the work we did is covered on this test but as I tested, I wasn't 100% sure of most of my answers and in the end I felt like it could go either way both times.I feel like my biggest hurdle is the spatial reasoning (assembly). I don't know if it's a case of; you either know it or you don't. Or there's some tip or trick I'm missing and the book didn't help with that.I can clearly see where it helped me with the Math and Mechanical portions.On the reading section of the actual test, for me there were a few questions where you had to figure something out based on the info from the passage. Not just simply answering questions based on what the passage stated.So, in conclusion, the book is a good aide but I wouldn't rely on this alone to pass.

I just purchased your Power Plant Maintenance Selection System Secrets. It arrived today and I am already half way through it!  I wanted to start refreshing myself to get ready for this test.I am so glad I purchased this book. I took the POSS test several years back, and just studied what I thought I needed refreshing on.  I was one of the many who did not pass. This book is definitely a VERY GOOD Purchase. It is highlighting all of the main parts of the test, especially the reading comprehension and the mathematical usage, which I need refreshing on!  I am glad I researched the makeup of the test again, a friend told me it would probably be a little harder this time since now they have included Figural Reasoning.

I bought this book as an extra study guide to help me with my nuclear mass test, im more than glad i got this booklet. I took the mass test along with many many more coworkers who all said they were truelly ready for the test. I was one of two out of the maybe 50+ people to pass the mass test. After asking around, me and the other passer where the only two to buy this book. That was the decoding factor that this study guide made all the difference when truelly studied.

This book breaks every section down and makes them easy to understand! It teaches the mathematical and scientific methods behind the questions to better prepare you for the test and the job! The practice test in the back is particularly helpful to gage how prepared you are!
