Like the title says, the unit arrived broken. I should clarify - not broken beyond repair, just with the fan not functional. It was admittedly easy to fix; a solder job that took maybe 2 or 3 minutes, and a piece of electrical. In the unit's defense, the internals aren't terribly complicated and because there's no on/off switch (or any other inputs for that matter), it was really super easy to bust open and fix. The instruction manual is printed in incredibly broken english, and wasn't any help at all, so don't even bother with that if you're looking for anything serious.All that said, I've had mine plugged in for about three days, now, and I've not had it catch a single bug. I think it's fun to watch them fly by the unit and totally ignore it - I of course can't be 100% sure, but I think the lights are just simple colored LEDs rather than the "365 NM wavelength UV light," that the product claims to use.I'm giving this one two stars because, one - it looks pretty okay. Makes for a decent night-light, at least. It's already saved me a stubbed toe on the bedroom dresser while going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. And two - because if it ever breaks, I know I can make use of the internals for a PC fan, because that's pretty much all that's inside of it. It's not effective, and it's not any good. Steer away if you have actual mosquito problems and were looking to save a few bucks, because the old adage always rings true : Buy Once, Cry Once.

I used it in my RV with no catches, low bug problem in the area. Decided to try it home. After 3 days the attached pic shows the results. Due to cool weather bugs have not been an issue so to see this was a surprise. The bug sticker did not come with the unit. I didn't even know about them until they just showed up, nice. Also have not seen elephants in the area so I assume it keeps them away too.

This product worked after I thumped it. When I plugged it in the light came on, but the fan did not. I gave it a good whack and the fan turned on. I haven't unplugged it since, but I have shined a light in and I can see some bugs on the sticky trap. It's not as many as I'd hoped, but it is catching some and that's better than nothing. :)

I bought 5 of these and within one year, all 5 broke. They run off a computer fan, which just stops working after a while.

I have a fungus nat problem. I have tried vinegar, this device and just water. They all capture the pesky pests. None of them individually or combined catch enough of them to break the cycle and rid my home of these nuisances. I hate to say and do it, but I’m ready to go chemical.Three stars for ease of use because the length of the USB cord is very limiting.

Congratulations to the seller who gets $27 for this cheap plastic product worth no more than $5 at best. The bug trap does not have an electrical grid but uses an adhesive disk to trap bugs if they are sucked into the trap. The fan is so weak and the light is such a poor attractant that in a mosquito infested area in our front porch ZERO mosquitoes we're trapped.The unit is powered with a small USB power cube. The bug trap measures 7" by 5"; surprisingly small. The light intensity is very low. The fan moves very little air to draw bugs attracted to the light into the trap.Buyer be aware; this is a very poor value product with inferior functionality.July 2019 Update:Be aware that many of the "verified purchases" are fake reviews...they are all very similar.

Doing the job as promised. A bit of a "hush" sound, because of the fan, but can be considered as white noise. We keep it in the bedroom and do not get bitten as long as it's working.

So disappointed and upset ! I was beyond excited for this we needed this so bad . I had such high hopes for this especially for the price I was definitely expecting a lot better quality. The fav barley moves the light isn’t even bright it caught maybe two moths that flew in . I really gave it a chance to work and it didn’t at all ! I was so upset and bummed out and had several people waiting for me to give them a thumbs up on this item to purchase for themselves . Really wish this would have worked but it definitely did not and was a waste of our money .
