Wooden Teak Spatula Set (2-Pack), 12 Inch Flat Turner & Scraper for Cast Iron, Eggs and Pancakes – Heat-Resistant Natural Wood Cooking Utensils

So here's the deal. I've been getting into cast iron skillet cooking and watching some videos including from "Cowboy" Kent Rollins. Using a wooden spatula is a safe way to cook and clean your cast iron without worry of ruining the seasoning so I got and about a month ago and so far it works fine. It's not "a piece of junk scam" that I can tell where it falls apart immediately so I'm happy with it. I can't tell how long-term durable it is since I've had it for a month. I rated it 3 stars for durability purely based on the wood. it is made of Walnut which isn't a super hard wood so I'm not expecting it to last a lifetime. Kent Rollins sells one made from Mesquite which is approx 2.5x harder so I would expect it to last longer. But it's more expensive. About 1.6x times more so based on that, I think it's a reasonably good value. Once you get it, wash it with soap and warm water, dry with a towel and then let fully air dry. Then I used a food grade mineral oil that I also use for wooden cutting boards. I've oiled it 2 or 3 times so far to seal it and I figure that is not a bad thing to do from time to time.

I cook exclusively on cast iron so was worried this this spatula might not be up to the task. I was wrong. It is extremely sturdy and stiff. Very hard wood. Great for cooking and the flat tip really works for scraping up the pan after, making for a great cleanup tool. I may buy another and definitely will be gifting a few.

Great spoon for sauces. I hand wash it and treat it with mineral oil. I do not run this in the dishwasher

Yes folks this is merely a spatula, however, its simple form factor has made it indispensable in our kitchen. Its black walnut construction makes it pretty indestructible and does not seem to adsorb any of the cooking liquid once it is seasoned. The shape in itself gives much better manipulation control. We use a pair of them for some applications. We have a big ceramic vase/pitcher on the counter filled with assorted spoons, spatulas, and the like and I always grab this tool. Get two.

Mine was a beautiful burl and the one I gave as a gift was just as lovely, same wood but different. If you had two it would easily serve as salad tongs. I use mine now more than anything in my kitchen drawer of utensils...a spatula, a scraper, a chopper, a server. Such a pretty and functional item for the kitchen-girl-who-has-everything! Love it!....so much that I gave one as a gift after.

This was nice at first but after several uses it has split through the center. No dishwasher and Washed, dried by hand. Did not last long.

Recommended Buy famous chef Kent Rollins, I purchased this as a gift and can’t wait to give it, I’m sure he will love it! These are great for using in cast iron skillets & he has wanted this for a while. I highly recommend this seller!! I had a small issue but immediately after my notifying them they were ready to make it right. Very professional with quality product!

Produit extrêmement mal fini. La surface n'est pas lisse du tout mais présente des fibres et crevasses apparentes. C'est moche, risque d'échardes, et absolument rédhibitoire pour un ustensile de cuisine !! Maj : remboursé immédiatement par Amazon. Mais je vous déconseille ce produit, apparemment sans aucun contrôle qualité.

Not as nice as the picture. I recommend trying the cheaper versions. Quality control isn’t great on what is a pretty basic tool. Chunk of wood shaped and sanded. Gouges and unfinished portions. Not worth the price.
