Great protection plan & so easy!
This insurance is amazing. My portable CD player finally stopped working completely after almost 2 years because I kept dropping it. I contacted Asurion. They had me send them a picture of my damaged player, and send it to them (they paid the postage). They immediately sent the full amount I had paid for the CD player to my Amazon account. They made it so easy, I will definitely be using them again. Thank you Asurion!

Make sure you call Asurian to register your product!!
Wow! I really can't believe it! I really expected more from a company like Amazon. I usually don't write reviews, but you really need to know this. I recently purchased 3 Asurian Protection Plans for 3 small electronic devices (two of which were the same) which I purchased from Amazon. I received two emails from Amazon directly after the purchases which contained the Plan Description, Plan Duration, Order Number, and Purchase Date. One email was for the plan for one device and the other email was for the two plans for the two devices that were the same. The emails neglected to state which items were covered under which of these plans however. I was a little confused, but I figured I would eventually receive additional emails with more information regarding which devices these plans are covering. That never happened.Since two of the devices are to be gifts, and the Asurian Protection Plans are part of the gifts, I had intended to forward the emails to the two recipients of the gifts. But, since there was no information within the emails regarding which devices they covered, I decided to call Asurian. The only phone number listed in the email was the number you would call if you needed to make a claim, so I called that one. As I was making my way through the auto-generated phone menu, at one point I recall the recording stating that there is no reason to register your products now since they are automatically registered and that I can hang up now. (Boy, am I glad I didn't do that!) I stayed on the line and was eventually connected with a live service representative. The service representative asked for my Order Number and I gave it to her. Then she started asking me questions about the manufacturer, description, model number, and price of the products. I told her she should already know that, and I reminded her I was only calling because I wanted to know which Asurian Protection Plan went with which product. She said that she had no information from Amazon whatsoever other than the Order number and that she needed the information from me to complete the registration process. She also stated that this is an unusual event and thought it was probably because this was for two plans for two identical products and maybe there was some confusion. Then she asked me about the other Order Number for my other device and I gave it to her. It turned out that she didn't have any information on that one either! I couldn't believe it. This device wasn't even ordered on the same day as the other two. Well, I gave her the information, but now I have very little confidence that these Protection Plans will help me out if one of these devices quit working a year from now. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I do not intend to ever purchase another one of these plans though, and will limit my Amazon purchases to items that don't tend to break down. No electronics! I honestly thought Amazon could have done a better job forwarding the necessary information to Asurian......or was this intentional?

Could be a little frustrating to deal with
Purchased this protection when I bought a renewed phone in July, glad I did because even though I got an otterbox case, and screen film protector a month later my phone fell out of my pocket and kissed the floor. I was like come on, really SMH at me, well I'm glad I got this here by OtterBox case. Until I picked it up and noticed my screen is cracked at this point I'm like WTF!I'm not going to bore you with the details so I'll get to the point.At first I placed a claim for my phone and not only did I have to fill out paperwork and email it to them but I had to send multiple pictures of the phone (glad I had a backup phone) but I also had to send screenshots of the purchased product receipt but also screenshots of the plan and receipt for it. And then they asked for more pictures I was like if you want to see the item I'll gladly ship it. Yeah I was upset at this point.Eventually they responded with an email saying something like this.. good news your claim went through drop it off at an asurion place and $50 and we'll refund you your money. Yay you! My response was Mutha......! You didn't even try to repair it, the phone is fine the screen even works it's just an eye sore for me. So called renewed phone may a$$ this is not even gorilla glass if it broke from falling from my pocket with a case!! (Insert angry face here)Fast forward I am at ubreakifix to drop off my phone this tech named Chris was the only rep at the time and he was so customer focused it was great he reminded me of me when I used to work retail and I loved it that I decided to wait in line this guy was great explanations were on point, recommendations on point, he put the customer and their needs first such a dying trait. I was like this guy's awesome so despite the email I got from this company about refunding my money back I wanted to tip this guy and say f- bomb the company. So I was next I gave him my information about the phone and such and my number to access my claim he told me it was not in the system, I was like I picked this location he said it's possible they gave me a closer location due to repair parts I was like okay I left the store and logged in to my claim changed the location to his store and tried again. He was able to find my claim and after everything his words were we'll fix it and I'll be giving you a call tomorrow. 😱 What? Yes! Thank you my guy. I said with a happy face got his information and left. I was ready to hear from them via email saying here is your gift card I had no faith but I was wrong I got an email saying your phone is ready for pickup 😁 I got my phone and it looks lovely. It has a Warranty and everything thanks asurion and thank you Chris even though my phone is fixed I'm scared to use it so it's in my draw surrounded by socks.

FAST & EASY refund just as the protection plan states!!!
I got this insurance protection on a PS5 controller for my grandson. It broke so my daughter used this insurance I purchased at the time I bought the controller. It was an easy process to do, it was done and settled very quickly and we got the money for the amount of the controller I purchased put in my Amazon gift card account. I ordered him a new one. It wasn't on sale this time so I had to pay a little for it but I used my refund and YES I got this insurance protection again on the new one. The small amount for it is well worth it.
