These are the perfect shorts for me!!!
Wow! These shorts are just what I've wanted. I'm 5'11" and 260lb at 22% body fat. I've got more tummy than I'd like but these shorts sit on my hips where it doesn't make me feel fat. The material is really nice. They hug the body but aren't inappropriate in a pool with families around. I've worn a lot of different styles of trunks through the years and some of those were as a water aerobics instructor. These are my favorite trunks that I've owned. I'll purchase another pair soon in the event that these cease production. I own the gray and will probably go with a blue pair next. I'd probably buy something fun like an animal print if one were available. Only worn them once so far but feel confident they'll hold up. My first impression of the liner was that I wished there was more of a pouch. After putting them on and swimming and soaking in the hot tub, the liner gives enough where it holds everything nicely. Too shy to add a picture ;)

Great suit, the fit is snug
Good men's bathing suit, fits snug to the body so may be more revealing than some are comfortable with. I use this suit to swim laps at the Y, and it's great for lap swimming.

Cute and comfortable
Favorite swim trunks. Definitely a show off vibe. If you're getting these you want people to look at you. Look great, feel great, fit amazing, and liner is very comfortable. Only tip. Dry on low heat. I had to get a replacement because the metal part melted the fabric. My own fault. I should have followed the drying instructions. Definitely recommend though.

Buy your regular waist size if you like a snugger fit. Some quality control issues.
I ordered a blue 32 for a Hawaii trip. I like the fit and feel, but the 32 was a bit too big for my tastes. I just got a black in 30 and those are more how I like them to fit - the looser fit feels less secure to me. On the blue ones, some of the dye has rubbed off. The suit seems to hold more water than it should, but the fabric is kind of heavy. I'm a little concerned about the dye rubbing off but I only wore them for about 10 days (almost every day) so we'll see. Size wise, I'm 5'4", 150, 30" waist, athletic build. Whether you size up or stick with what Amazon recommends will really depend on whether you like a snugger or looser fit.

FANTASTIC SWIM SUIT...BUT PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS FOR YOUR SIZE!
Great "trunks", is the lingo we used to use in the '60's. Back in those days this style had no elastic, and where you tie the cord was all you had to keep the suit up. I can not count the number of suits I had to throw out, as I broke a cord. This suit is, and looks, GREAT! I am so fortunate, that at 70, I still have the fit I did in my 20's. Perhaps, because I am 6'4, from a thin family back ground. But I digress I am traveling now, and needed a Florida suit. I found this online, as the hotel shop is charging over $100. In comparison, this suit is a great value, and the style and execution is far superior. The material is thick, good quality and dries fast after washing. Hotel pools can be heavy handed with cleaning supplies. This suit was my second try, as I failed to read the important sizing information. The waist size you wear for jeans IS NOT the way to size this suit. I wear a 33" jean, but that translates into a 36" swim suit. My first order I went for a 34", not having read info. When I reordered, I found the 36" waist was the same as my 33" pants. Now, I have a great suit. I hope this helps, when you order a great swim suit.

Fits really well.
This suit fits really well. Sick and tired of the baggy shorts but don't want a speedo? This is a great alternative.

They look great, but the material is rather uncomfortable on a hot summer day
I was rather disappointed in these. My expectations were high when I put them on, since they looked really flattering. I don’t like baggy long bathing suits. They fit like boxer briefs. If you are trim, they are actually quite sexy, but not so sexy that your mom would say you can’t wear them in public. Plus they feel so comfortable when you put them on. I rode my bike to the beach and was pleased that they were comfortable for bike riding. It was a relatively hot day, and I quickly found that when I got to the beach, the material would be too hot to wear for an extended stay. They were OK for a walk, but I don’t think you’d like them for sunbathing, or hanging out in the hot weather. Kind of defeats the purpose of a bathing suit. If your beach time is more about exercise than sunbathing, you’ll probably be fine.

Kinda Funny
As a child I was lucky enough to visit Europe several times. Swim fashion for men was speedo/European cuts the whole way and really hard for me to embrace. I was either in cut off jeans (yes, I'm older) or jogger-like pants. Traveling to Europe this time, I had it in mind that this would be the same issue for me. Everyone dressed in their tightest bathing suits while I, the boorish American, would be wearing baggy trunks. Enter this swim suit. I figured it was the perfect blend to each world. It's tight enough to satisfy the Europeans and loose enough to make me comfortable. And, luckily, they fit well and looked good. The irony is that when I got to the Mediterranean beaches, almost no one was wearing a speedo. Everyone was draped in American cuts. My semi-tight suit (as seen above) was actually a little off the mark. You can't win I guess but the suit was comfortable and pleasing to my wife, so I cannot complain.
