Good stuff for angry kids!
My son turned 11 and was struggling with angry moments, we kind of figured out it was puberty plus other reasons but nevertheless this book helped him sort out how anger is not helpful. A therapist suggested this book and I am so glad I got it for him to read. At first he thought it was boring but as he read it, he realized it was funny and interesting. It is a workbook as well so he was able to answer questions which made him think about stuff. We did other things like read Bible scriptures about anger and had conversations about anger so I think it was a combination of different approaches. This book was very helpful though because the author gets to the kids' level and makes it fun. As I was getting ready to write the review my son passed by and volunteered to write a few words:"This book has straightened my life and has gotten rid of my over-tempered anger. -The Child" there you have it, out of the mouth of babesI am currently getting my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy so I am already suggesting it to the clients that I am seeing. There may be different factors for different children who get angry but this book is very practical and well done.

Hot Stuff is Hot Stuff
What a wonderful book. I read the reviews here before purchasing and my only reservation was with the "sarcastic" humor in the book. Actually, it is the humor that makes this book work. It was the bait that got my son hooked on the book.I bought this for my 8 year-old son. He started to read it immediately. The book is a book and a workbook where you do some introspection. When he saw there were places to write down his responses, he ran and got a pencil. The first day he (we) spent nearly an hour reading and answering questions before we told him he needed to put it down and go to bed.The book does a good job of validating the feelings that a child (actually all of us) has and gives great ways to deal with those responses. If you have ever encouraged your child to say "gooz fah bah" (from Anger Management the movie), then this is the book for you.

Very engaging read
I have a middle school aged child. We read this book together, and it was an easy and fun read. It posed various scenarios, which allowed us to have dialogue (which is very hard for middle schoolers to have with their parents) The book was very engaing, and I think teaches very good tools that children can use in dealing with conflict.

Wonderful book for the whole family
The author tries to be funny and at times sounds like an adult trying to relate to kids, but it is worth it because this simple book says so much. He puts the ownership of the child's anger on the child and gives him skills to choose to not be angry. My husband and I read it first and saw that we were getting ourselves angry and that we could often make the choice not to be angry. I know that we will be better role models and that there will be more happiness because our family is speaking a common language of how to choose to not be angry.

great book
Gave this as a gift to my grandson and my daughter said it was very helpful as it walks you through difference scenarios. She said it was very helpful and would be highly recommended by her to anyone with those types of issues.

I love this book
I love this book! As a therapist in a middle school, I use the book as a curriculum for group therapy with kids who struggle with anger and impulse control issues. Although the language may be too immature for my 8th graders, it works really well for my 6th graders.

Unbelivable transaction
I ordered the book on Monday, expected to receive it by Friday. I got the book in a day and a half. Book was in very good condition, and packaged very well. I highly recommend this seller to anyone. My son is 12 going to 13 and I need to give him a second opinion about his anger management. This is a great book for that!
