Great product! My joints never felt better until I purchased these pills

My go to brand for MSM. I buy it mostly for my skin and hair. Maybe it's placebo, but I feel like it works. I'm 41 and I can always tell a difference in the texture of my skin when I stop taking it for awhile. I still get breakouts but I'm also seeing signs of aging. I think it helps for both. My haur stylist always comments on how healthy my hair is. I don't use any fancy hair products so I don't know if it is stronger because of these vitamins, but I told her I take MSM. The pills are pretty big, but I don't have any problems taking larger pills. I have never noticed any taste to them either. I say give it a try and see how it works for you!

MSM stands for Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane, which occurs naturally in humans, some plants, and some animals. The sulfonyl group is a sulfur containing compound, and the "experts" – sports trainers, homeopaths, integrative medicine doctors, etc., and no, this does NOT include that guy in the white coat that you occasionally see with an MD after his name – all agree that the body needs sulfur for joint re-modeling. In my case, the meniscus in my right knee bothers me unless I take MSM regularly. So, either it works for me, or I am experiencing the placebo effect.When my meniscus started to bother me in my late 50's, doctors recommended glucosamine chondroitin, but before I went down that path, I decided to do some research. By the way, doctors will object to everything one says based on the research until you point out that it is peer-reviewed research that you found on PubMed, then they will tuck their tails between their legs, and shut up. The research showed me that glucosamine did prove to be helpful in the early studies that were done with glucosamine SULFATE – um, that would contain sulfur! Later studies done with glucosamine HCl (hydrochloride) did NOT show the same effectiveness. Unfortunately, most of the glucosamine sold today is the HCl formulation, probably because it is cheaper to make. So if you want to pursue glucosamine, make sure that it is the sulfate formulation. Regarding chondroitin, it costs 10 times more to make that glucosamine, and has never been shown to be effective. Consequently, when one purchases glucosamine chondroitin, one is largely paying for a substance that is ineffective. Full disclaimer – I did this research probably a decade ago, so more recent research may be shedding a different light. Check for yourself at PubMed, which is administered by the National Institutes of Health.In short, I recommend this product not only because it works for me, but also because the 1,500mg dosage is one of the highest dosages one can obtain in one tablet. Also, Doctor’s Best is a reputable brand.

I had never heard of MSM but a friend of mine kept harping on me to try it because I have joint pain as well as severe allergies. I was afraid to take a sulfur compound but did my research and it is a very safe supplement. My friend suggested this brand after having tried a number of others. It was inexpensive so I figured I would give it a shot.The pills are pretty large, white and oval. They don't have an odor. One a day is all that is needed. They cause no side effects that I can discern. No stomach upset or anything else.I have been taking these daily for about five weeks. At first, I didn't see any improvement in anything. But I did notice my hair was growing super fast and was much stronger than usual after a few weeks. That is great for me because I do have a thyroid issue which can cause my hair to be thin and break. My hair has grown at least two inches in just the five weeks I have been taking this supplement and that, in itself, is a reason to keep taking it. My hair usually grows very, very slowly. My nails also seem to be growing faster and are harder.As far as joint pain, I haven't has as much neck pain as usual but I can't tell for sure if it is this MSM or just a coincidence. My allergies, too, have been a bit better but who knows if it is supplement or just timing. I will have to continue talking this for several weeks to be able to say for sure that it helps joint pain and allergies. But it absolutely does help hair growth. I don't know if it would help someone trying to grow hair back that they lost through balding but it definitely has helped my hair to grow longer and thicker. Since it is safe to take, doesn't interfere with any medications, and has no side effects, I am going to continue to take these pills and see what happens. I am hoping to see improvement over he long haul in joint pain as well as allergies. I have severe allergies and my friend says these help her a lot. We'll see.I am going with 4 stars for now because I can see the improvements in my hair and nails and maybe a bit in my skin as well. I also have been in less pain but I will wait a while to claim this is the reason. I see no reason why you shouldn't take this Doctors Best Best MSM. It may help a lot with several issues and it doesn't have any side effects. You even can take it if you are allergic to sulfur antibiotics as it is different kind of sulfur that our own bodies make.

My mistake. I didn't see they were tablets but really, giant tablets. Should have been capsules. It never occured they would be tablets.

I love these vitamins ! They don’t break you out at all. This is about my 4th bottle I believe. I have seen improvements in overall bone health but my nails look and heel amazing. I use henna every few weeks on my nails and they became brittle, now with using MSM they are stronger than ever.
