Cutex Brand Motor Belt #193066 (13-3/4") for Singer 15 Class & 66 Class with Spoke Wheel

Nice v-belt, measured the outside circumference at 14-1/16" with cloth tape measure. Fit my Singer 15 clone perfect. Width is accurate and fits pulleys well. Doesn't stick our of the groove nor drop completely to the bottom. Belt joint can't be seen. Belt doesn't stretch. Belt is smooth without waves, bumps or other imperfections. It runs very smooth and is so much better than those stretch belts (I bought 3 of those and disliked all of them). A stretch belt is the worst replacement belt style. It puts excessive loads on the motor bearings and wastes motor power constantly stretching the belt to drive the machine. The machine may even run slower with a stretch belt. My machine belt adjustment range is 13-3/8 to 14-3/4 so this is right in the middle of the adjustment.

The quality is very high, but I couldn't get this to fit my sewing machine. The part numbers match (both say 193066), but this belt could not be stretched far enough to be put onto the motor pulley. The lengths are pretty close; I measured both around the outside circumference and they are about 14 inches around. What seems to be the difference is that this newer belt is fatter/wider at the inside surface than my old belt, so it rides up higher in the V-groove in the handwheel and the motor pulley, which results in it being too short to reach from the handwheel to the pulley. Both the new belt and old belt measure .25 inch wide on the outside surface, but the old belt measures 5/32 inch while the new belt measures 6/32 inch (3/16 inch) on the inside surface. Kinda crazy the difference just 1/32 inch makes, but it is what it is. Four stars for the high quality. It is clearly a very nice belt. Too bad the inner surface is too wide for my handwheel and motor pulley!

Super fast shipping and just what I needed for my Singer Fashion Mate 362, a real V belt! For anyone wondering this one IS flat and made all the difference in my vintage machine. The new singer belt is too fat and it wouldn't catch all the time so I would have to start the wheel by hand. Well not anymore! She's very happy with her new belt thank you Cutex!!! (I'm a beginner however I fully restored this machine by myself with the help of Google and YouTube! I just love the old machines and there's so much information available even for a 1970s machine!!)

It turns out this belt also fits a Universal brand "Deluxe Family Sewing Machine", a clone of a Singer series 15. The description says the belt fits the version with a spoked handwheel, but my machine has a solid handwheel and the belt fits reasonably well. The belt groove on the handwheel is narrower than would be ideal but the belt stays in the groove and does not slip.

The belt fit perfectly, with the adjustment of the motor and the pulley it works excellent. Very fair price and outstanding delivery.
