Excellent food and great value. You can’t get 25 pounds of food for a better price.I have three common musk turtles and one 10 pound Chinese golden thread Turtle. all of them happily eat this food. I mix in some tetra Reto in as well as some mealworms just to spice up the selection but the Mizura is the bulk of their diet. My turtles have been eating this mix for at least four years and they’re all very healthy and happy.

So far very palatable and gives good health outcomes for my box turtle.

The pellets are much smaller than I had expected them to be. they're not nearly as porous as most turtle foods I've purchased in the past. they almost feel oily to the touch? but overall they seem to be high quality. They don't smell nearly as bad as other turtle foods I've purchased, and haven't dirtied up the water. My RES seems to be indifferent to the flavor and eats them along with the rest of his food just fine. Bag was smaller than expected, but so was the pellet size.EDIT: I've been feeding this to my turtle for about 7 months now and i've noticed a significant improvement in his color. His scales and shell are more vibrant, and while his eyes were always clear, they now look even brighter. The most noticeable change has been his red ear, it's a vivid red now. it had been darkening with age (he's 17), which I had assumed was normal. I still don't like how much corn/wheat/soy/gluten meal they shove into this, but clearly it must be doing something right with vitamins that the others don't. I'm going to continue to keep this food in with his pellet rotation, but the price is still a bit high for the amount of product you're actually getting.

Several companies make excellent aquatic turtle food, but I prefer Mazuri simply because the pellets are exactly the right size for our guy. Tiger is a disabled male red slider, rescued from our pond (long story), whom I keep in a tank and hand feed. He has trouble with pellets that are too large for him to swallow whole (but which are probably fine for female sliders, who tend to be considerably bigger.) When he was biting off chunks of larger pellets, the inevitable crumbs were helping foul his water and generally causing extra maintenance. I should add that Tiger is an enthusiastic eater who has liked the taste of all the different pellets I tried.
