After having the typical birthday party, with cake, candles, singing, blowing out the candles, I decided to make a major change in the ritual. There have been so many people sick this year, and you often cannot tell you are contagious - until you are suddenly very sick! Blowing out candles can make a whole cake a germ farm, so I got the candle snuffer to give an alternative to blowing...the birthday person gets to snuff each candle while people sing or countdown...Well, it works so well! I have only used it 2 times, but the child (who was 7) and the adult (who was 46) both had fun. You are welcome to start your own healthier tradition!

My grandmother always let the grandchildren snuff the candles. I have grandchildren old enough now, so I ordered one to keep with the traditions. I was happy with it.

Initially, when I received this, the bell end of the snuffer had been unattached, so I had to try a bit hard to readjust and reassemble the snuffer. Although it took a few minutes, I was able to do so, and it worked very well the first time I tried it. For the price so far, it was definitely worth the purchase.

Love this little thing just wish it was a bit longer but still a great gift idea and looks really elegant in the home !

Simple little candle snuffer I bought for our kids church classroom (we use Godly Play). It works perfect for this. It’s light and easy to use. Might want something heavier for other adult uses? Then again, maybe not.

Perfect to get to the hard placed candles. Been needing one for a long time and now I don’t have to pick up the candles and spill the wax!!!
