I first debated buying this, wondering if I really “needed” it after having done without one for so long and having used a small pry bar instead. I am so glad I decided to give this a try. Oh my gosh, what a difference. They away bars go right into place, and the sway bars don’t slide off this like they do a pry bar, so I don’t have to fight them anymore either. I very strongly recommend this.

It was shorter than I had anticipated and that worried me about its usefulness, but since I had lost my longer one, I thought I would give it a try. I am GLAD that I did!! This guy was perfect. Fit in my toolbox perfectly, was light weight, and strong enough to do the job with little effort. I would buy more, but I only need one. ;-)

I did not expect the tool to be made of heavy metal. This is really a sturdy tool, Works great!

Have used Equalizer Hitches for years and have fought buying the Snap-up Lever for years, as I thought they were just too expensive. I finally bit the bullet and bought it and my butt is still sore for the kicking I gave it for not purchasing this tool years ago. Very sturdy, weaponized lever. Probably work for other bar-style hitches as well. This proves the adage regarding price and cost. Had I been willing to pay the price once for this lever it would have cost me much less in time and aggravation and physical strain over the years. I have always loved good tools, too bad I didn't follow my own advice. Be much smarter than me and get this if you have bar style hitch or even as a self defense tool, just the look of it is intimidating.

Fortunately my trailer came with a weight distribution / anti-sway hitch. Unfortunately, this was not included in the purchase and I didn't know how much I needed it until I got it. After my hitch jack gave up the ghost, I decided to get one of these to lessen the amount I needed to raise the hitch after it was attached to the truck. This was perfect! Well mostly. I would love another 6" - 8" for leverage but I understand why it isn't longer. If you have a WDAS hitch and don't have one of these - buy this now!

The Snap-up Lever Retail Pack by Equal-i-zer part #95-01-6050 I purchased was not in retail packaging and was not the two-piece version as advertised. Neither of those facts matter to me even a little. I have already spray painted the shaft bright yellow so it's not the same color as my bumper. That's how I lost the first one, must have left it on the trailer bumper after using it and drove away. This is better than the flat bar snap-up lever that came with my Equalizer 90-00-1000 hitch, it weighs 1.7 lbs. and is 19 ½ inches long with a good dimpled grip on the handle. Handle is 1-inch steel with 5/16-inch flat steel head, paint is top notch. Very robust tool.
