Great for closet setup
Purchased two to set up my closet and its been perfect. Holds a substantial bit of weight between my hanging clothes and items stacked up top.Instructions were easy to follow, though I did have to use some of my own hardware as not all the nails would go through since I did not have a hammer

Read directions carefully
At first, I thought this shelf with stupid and pointless the way it was designed. However, after further review of the directions for installation, I realized I missed a vital step. When installing the support brackets, you MUST install them with the two “teeth” on either side of one of the shelf wires. If you put both teeth in between the shelf wires, the brackets do not hold whatsoever, rendering the shelf utterly useless. The picture on the instructions shows this, but it is not explicitly stated in the directions. Once I realigned the support brackets, the shelf was stable and without flaw. I did order extra support brackets as well so I could make sure it could hold good weight, so I have 3 brackets supporting the shelf instead of two. I also opted to use screws in the anchors instead of those nails/pins they sent which seemed somewhat useless.

Nice and solid, but not a great install method
This is a nice solid shelf and closet rod, but the ClosetMaid installation method that uses nails instead of screws for the brackets is a terrible idea. The instructions say "push the nail in with the handle of a hammer", but it would take Thor's hammer to get these nails all the way in - I'm not a small guy and had to heavily hammer directly on the nail to get it in, damaging the wall in the process. So after 1 I decided to just use my own screws and that was *much* better and quieter and safer. ClosetMaid, if you're listening please supply screws instead of these nails! Your consumers will thank you.

Great sturdy shelving unit for closet
I bought 2 of these to add to the only 2 closets we have in our home. We did a remodel and wanted to do away with the old wooden shelves and rusty poles. We looked at several closet systems and knew that it wouldn't work because our lack of storage (again the only 2 in the house) so we settled on this product. Install was very easy using a yard long level. The shelving is sturdy and holds a decent amount of weight. I was hanging my jeans up before but I found the actual pole itself cannot hold that much weight so now I fold them and store them on the shelf. Which actually works out better. I do think we will buy an extra pole holder for the middle, since it does seem to look bowed in the middle once 30 shirts and a jacket are hung. Putting that third hook in the middle would easily take care of that issue so it's not that big of a deal. All and all for the price and the size of this shelving unit I am very pleased and may purchase more in the future.

Great product
Ordered this for my son’s closet as there wasn’t any shelving. Easy to install worked great and was easy to adjust to the size we needed.

Great, very versatile laundry and utility shelf
Got this for my condo laundry space which is just off the kitchen and also used as a bit of a pantry/closet. I had to use a hacksaw to cut just a bare inch off so that it would fit snugly across the length the wall, but it was fairly easy to mod and the rubber ends could be put back on so it's like it came that way. Very sturdy so far. It is in both studs and drywall anchors at various points, but it's keeping pretty equally solidly attached along the length despite holding good amount of weight.I got some cheap s-hooks which are very useful to have with it. I use the shelf for storing dry goods and supplies, and hang the small ironing board and wash bag o' wash bags on it and still have tons of room to hand clothes up to air dry.

Hot Garbage, YMMV on sturdiness over time.
Let's paint a picture:Opening scene - You are outside doing yard work. There's some bushes that have overtaken your sidewalk and it's time for them to go. The weather is nice, around 80 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. You have good music playing in the background and all vibes are good. You decide to do additional yard work because its so nice out. That neighbors dog comes out and you hate that dog with a passion, but you smile, wave and go about your business.Finished with your yard work, you clean up and you can't wait for that shower and that nice cold beverage waiting for you in your fridge, you walk in, turn the corner look at your closet and find everything on the ground. Everything, coat, that lunchbox you forgot about, that weird coat you bought when you were going through that phase.Guess who the person is in this story, you guessed it, me. I installed this three years ago almost to the day. Apparently the tip of the wall anchor broke, causing it to sag and boom, it finally gave up the ghost. So now here I am writing this review to warn you that while it looks nice and all, I would caution using the wall anchor system this came with. Now I have to figure out if I want to trust this system again and go to home Depot and pick some better walk anchors and screws, or if I want to say to hell with it and go to The Containter Store and get there Elpha system and have some piece of mind. While I figure this out, that cold glass of water just turned into a cold gin and tonic (shaken not stirred).FIN
