These work well for my needs. I think I would have liked them to be another 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch wider but they work for what I wanted them for.

The book ends were heavy enough to hold large books as well as small and looked niced

I absolutely love these book ends. They're nice and heavy and do their job well, and the color is vivid and beautiful, no chips or other defects. I bought another set after the first in a different color because I love them so much. They'd make lovely gifts!

I got these red metal bookends for my cookbooks on my Bakers Rack!! Red is my color in my kitchen and the cookbooks kept sliding into things on my shelf! I saw the red bookends and without a seconds hesitation I ordered them. Now my shelves are neat and I gave one less worry for a good price.

they are utilitartian bookend but do have nice color. they work well with some very heavy books on my shelf. will buy again for other shelves.
