5 Stars – Game changer for car rides with my dog!
I’ve tried a few different pet barriers over the years, and this is hands-down the best one yet. The Zookeeper barrier is super sturdy and doesn’t budge, even when my 75-pound dog tries to push past it (which he always does). It keeps him safely in the back without making him feel trapped, and I can finally drive without getting a nose or paw in my face every few minutes. What I really love is that it moves with the seats! I can still slide, tilt, or recline them without having to take the whole thing apart. Installation was quick—no tools or cursing required—and it feels really well made with strong metal tubing, not those flimsy mesh ones that fall apart after a few uses. If you travel with your dog and want something that actually works and doesn’t make your car a hassle to use, this is it. Totally worth the price for the peace of mind.

It Works and He Can't Chew Through It!
It works for my dog because he's really good about respecting barriers... he doesn't try to break through it. I have it set up in the hatch area, not the back seat. If I had this in the back seat, he'd still be able to get his arms and probably his face through to reach me while I'm driving. It will keep him from climbing into the front seat or changing gears while I'm driving, but it wouldn't prevent him from pawing at my head and face for attention on long trips - so he's in the hatch for longer rides. As far as the product itself, it's easy to assemble and to install. The one drawback is that it has nothing to anchor the bottom. It only attaches to the headrests. The bottom moves and if your dog pushes against it, it will lean forward. The headrests stop it from tipping all the way over, but it would be better if it was more stable. My dog is the world's biggest super chewer and he can't chew through this. He has destroyed 2 other barrier systems and this was my last resort. So far so good!

Love It
I have a 70 pound red ticked coonhound and I drive a 2019 stick shift Toyota Tacoma. My hound insists on standing on the arm rest when there’s no barrier, loses his balance on bumpy roads, often falls onto my passenger or wedges himself against the stick shift. Or keeps bumping his nose onto the touch screen radio and reprogramming it. He’s also big enough that he unsafely blocks my view to the right when I’m driving. I tried a simple bungee cord between the two front headrests with a blanket thrown over it. But he goes right over the top of it. I read the good reviews on this product and ordered it. I’m not mechanical at all but it literally took less than 5 minutes to assemble it. Very clearly explained. Metal tubes that slide into each other with a few small plastic fittings at the junctions. Installing it also took less than 5 minutes with my wife assisting from the other side. Pull or push the tubes horizontally for proper width. Pull or push vertically for proper height. Very easy. Secure with two bungee cords around the headrests. Incredibly easy. Perfect fit. Just be sure to measure your vehicle’s width to get the proper size. As for effectiveness, all my hound-vehicle problems have been solved. No more hound on the arm rest or blocking my view or my access to the gears. He doesn’t seem to mind now being in the back seat. I lower the window a little so he can entertain himself by sniffing. As advertised, the design allows the seats to still be adjusted and leaned back. And it also doesn’t interfere with leg room for backseat human guests. Highly recommended.

Way too much $ for what it is
Works just as promised. The only problem is that it is $100 overpriced! Even the bungie cords are super cheap.

Excellent product
Excellent product! We've had it for about a year and are super happy with it. We can open our doors without worrying about the dogs jumping to the front of the car. It's great quality material as well.
