After buying a set of Method “standard” bright alloy 17” wheels for my 2017 Tacoma Sport 4x4, I found that lug nuts were not included. With the truck already at the local shop for the install and needing lugs immediately, I went to the nearest 4x4 accessories shop hoping to find a compatible set - which fortunately I found in stock. After installation was completed I then researched the correct socket to add to my tools for personal use.Seeing the helpful review here on Amazon.com written by “Petro”, stating that he bought this same socket for his Tundra wheels - I decided to order two for myself, since the spline and size data seemed identical.The sockets fit my lugs perfectly without “slop”. The wall is adequately thin so they won’t contact the deep lugnut sidewalls during turning - and yet the socket’ wall seems plenty strong enough to hold up for proper torque - and the tool’s longevity. The powder coating and length of the socket are also great by design and having the tool end fitted with the two popular sized nuts make it easy to adapt to the OEM lug wrench or a standard socket and breaker bar application.There are some cheaper ones advertised that might also work. But I can recommend this model with full confidence since it DOES FIT PERFECTLY for my application.It would be easier if there were more positive descriptions given by wheel vendors - so doubtless matchups could be purchased.However - the advertised product data on this site gives all of the correct dimensions for those who have the time and a pair of calipers to take measurements with. In either case, this socket is a perfect match for the lug nuts I have.

Have not used, but fits perfectly and the wall is thicker that the one I had before.

Does it's job

These were identical to the socket that came with the wheels, which I lost. The fit is perfect and the chrome finish is nice. Time will tell of the durability but I see nothing that would leave me concerned for premature failure. These are not intended for use with an impact tool.

I was a little concerned that the spline socket would split after reading some of the reviews but I've pulled & swapped the wheels on my BMW 2 times (that's 40 bolts loosened & 40 bolts tightened) and the socket held up perfectly. When I remove & torque the bolts I not only use my high torque impact wrench but I also snug up with a 3ft torque bar & put a lot of force into it (I'm not a light guy) & I haven't seen any cracks.Update 7/2024:So after overv3 years the 1st of 2 finally split. I'm glad it come as a set so I can still remove my wheels when needed. I will remove replce my wheels 5-10 times/yr so for 1 adapter to last 3 yrs I'm happy. I'll be ordering another pair so I have backup when the 2nd unit fails, plus I like to keep 1 in my glove box in case something happens on the road.

I have taken the tires on and off of my truck a couple times now and it still looks great, only slight wear to the paint.And that is using an impact to remove and replace 8 lugs per wheel.
