In Korea this thing costs pennies, but for the price over here, go and buy vodka instead.
Soju literally costs peanuts in Korea - which is understandably why everyone drinks it, but honestly as a westerner, Soju lacks any real taste compared to Vodka, which is really its direct comparison. For the money, go and buy vodka instead; it's not that much more, plus it tastes a whole lot better.

No taste, like drinking plain water
While binge-watching K-dramas, I noticed they seem to chuck back a load of Soju, always smacking their lips and saying "Ahhhh!!". So decided to buy some to see what all the fuss was about!! Well, the verdict is: The stuff has no taste at all, just like drinking plain tap water. A bit of a let-down really!!
