Shadow Jumper: A mystery adventure book for children and teens aged 10-14

Shadow Jumper is an absolute gem of a book! It’s packed with mystery, adventure, and just the right amount of suspense to keep young readers hooked from start to finish. The main character is relatable and brave, and the story beautifully weaves in themes of friendship, resilience, and overcoming personal challenges. The writing is clear and engaging, making it perfect for kids aged 9–14. My child couldn’t put it down — and I found myself sneaking a few chapters too! Highly recommend for fans of heartfelt adventures with a strong emotional core.

My 18 year old grandson is autistic, functioning academically and intellectually between the age of 8 - 13. It’s difficult to find a book that is appropriate for his age. I was absolutely delighted when he told me he loved this book. He read it in a day which I know he must have been so proud of himself. I’m happy to have found a few authors who hold his attention.

Bought for my 10 year old son. The vocabulary is extremely difficult, even as an adult I didn't know a lot of the words. I also am an educator as well so would say better for higher level readers at more of a 9th grade reading level. A great story plot but can get a too wordy and confusing for the age group it recommends.

My son enjoyed this book! It held his interest and he was eager to read the book. The characters were well developed and relatable. Readers will need background knowledge (or preview with discussion)to understand where the characters reside. The reading level can span many grade levels with challenging vocabulary.

My son and I read this book together. We both enjoyed the book. We empathized with the main characters, who each had personal obstacles to overcome.

I have a kid who will read anything and I bought him the first two books in the series because it had great reviews. He tried so hard to read this book. He just did not like it and my child has never not read a book that’s been handed to him. He straight up got those two books and put it in the free community library at the park. I asked him why, and he became uncomfortable and said something about the writing style and the subject matter. I did not read this book nor do I intend to all I am here to say is that my child chose to give it away rather than even continue to try to read it.

My 14 year old son has read 3 chapters and absolutely loves this book so far.

We give our children something they Need, something to read, wear, and share for Christmas each year. This book kept our teen off their phone all afternoon!

Fun book to read with my son. Some of the terms used had us both confused but it’s been a learning experience for us both to figure out what they mean. Overall good book
