Made for Children
You really can't go wrong with a basic wooden train piece, but as an adult I was a bit skeptical about the little wood piece that goes across the top that connects the two bridge pieces. When I first opened it I considered gluing that piece on because I thought my son would lose the piece or just not understand that it had to be that specific piece (it has little pieces on the bottom that hold it in place better than a normal piece that size). Boy, was I wrong. My son enjoys that the bridge has "a little window" in the top and likes taking that piece off to watch the train pass through. He has also figured out he can run a longer piece across the top to make an even longer bridge. He will also set the entire tunnel on the other risers he has to make a tunnel bridge. Considering how basic this is, it is a very versatile and stable addition to his wooden train track set. So far it has fit with any and all of the wooden pieces we have without issue (both the connecting pieces, and fitting the track over the tunnel). We've had this piece for a few months now and it doesn't have any cracks or chips, and it is played with almost daily. We did end up adding some color markings with a magic marker on the the little connector piece for the bridge to make it easier to find amongst the other pieces, but this tunnel is one of his favorite pieces to his train set and I would definitely purchase from this brand/seller again.

Tunnel with a little window -- so great!
Fantastic, sturdy train tunnel with a little "window" on top. My 3-year-old and 1-year-old both love it!

My 3yo son loves it
Great addition to his figure 8 train set. The tracks fit with his set well and the tunnel is the perfect size. The only issue is that the small connecting piece at the top is too easily knocked off. There are small pegs on the bottom side to help with this issue. Perhaps if the pegs were just a bit longer they would be more effective. Great purchase. Would recommend.

Fun addition to the train set
The tunnel is very sturdy and works well. Tracks going over the tunnel are set in place with a unique piece to hold the tracks. The tunnel is nice and tall to accommodate all trains.

Another nice, little addition to the playset.
Another nicely made specialty piece for "Thomas" and "Chuggington" and similar systems, which lends interest to any lay-out. Kids seem to love these tunnel type pieces for reasons that only kids can likely explain. The inclined approach pieces fit rather securely and will not detach easily when clumsy, little fingers push a train up and over, which is a real "plus". My only gripe is that the top part of the track (placed on top of the tunnel, and to which the inclined approach track attaches) consists of a small, special section of track, with little "positioning pins" on the underside (i.e., not just any piece of track will do) and that piece is not permanently affixed to the tunnel - which means that it can easily be lost, especially when you are dealing with little kids and lots of track. I'm considering gluing that piece permanently to the tunnel, lest it end up lost, which it surely will be (kids being somewhat careless about keeping track of their pieces). I understand the concept of the design - by making that piece detachable and, therefore, reversible, you can make it match up with male or female connecting tracks according to your lay-out, but it's just as easy to simply rotate the tunnel and, if need be, to use some of the special, double-ended track pieces (two female ends or two male ends), which Amazon also sells to facilitate the match up to any connecting tracks. This isn't a defect in the design, it's just a question of taking into account the limitations of children.

The perfect addition to my daughter's train set
The perfect addition to my daughter's train set. She likes to use the tunnel as a shed for the trains. The middle piece that creates the bridge is the slightest bit unsteady, but wood glue works wonders. It's also quite annoying to dig through all her tracks to find the special middle bridge piece, so I'd suggest using wood glue to save yourself (or the little one) the headache! Fits perfectly with all her other wooden train tracks, bridges, trains, etc which are an assortment of different brands, from Circo to Brio. We've had this for over a year, and I must say, it's heirloom quality.

Great Addition!
The best part I love about wooden train sets is that you can always find extra features to add to a set, so long as the pieces fit of course. This tunnel was a wonderful addition to my Maxim & Orbrium train sets. I combined multiple track sets together for my daughter and thought a tunnel would be a great addition, which it was. Now I have noticed the price of this item has increased since I purchased it, which at the time was $19.99. It is worth the price if you have an existing set large enough to connect it to.
