I ordered these for my son, who had discovered them at one of our local movie theaters. He absolutely loved them and swore they were far better than licorice (the red kind at least... can't top black licorice). Once they arrived at the house and my son's eyes lit up like spot lights at a movie premiere, my curiosity was peaked. Now admittedly I have always had a sweet tooth but as I move on through this life my desire for sweets is waning, particularly since most candy tastes like they didn't just sweeten it but rather they poured a whole bag of sugar into each and every piece. However I figured I'd try one and see why my son was going on and on about these "Kazoozles". Each package only contains four pieces which is more than enough unless of course you are trying to achieve the proverbial "sugar high." Upon opening the package I notice that each piece was very fresh and that these were very much like licorice in appearance only with different colored filling running through the middle. I was pleasantly surprised after the first bite, while sweet there was just a hint of sour too that actually offset the sweetness nicely and unlike the red Twizzlers they don't have that "almost plastic" feeling going on. The texture is very similar to the 'red rope' type of licorice as opposed to Twizzlers and the filling in the center which provide the fruit punch flavor does seem to have a very subtle sugary grit feeling but I assure you, unless your hyper sensitive, it's not a big deal. Kazooles are chewy much like a fresh piece of licorice should be, but I'd say it safe to assume it will not be pulling out any fillings like some chewy treats can. If you have kids and or a sweet tooth, and like this kind of candy, I'd say it's a safe bet that you'll like Kazoozles. (One more thing to mention, this review is based strictly on the Cherry Punch flavor and while I'm sure package size, freshness and texture should be similar, I currently have no idea how the Strawberry Watermelon flavor is.)

I had been staying away from these because they've been getting very expensive and I'm trying to avoid artificial dyes. As soon as I saw they didn't use them anymore in these candies, I decided it was worth the splurge! The flavor tastes even more sour and punchy than it used to be and I love it! It's like the dyes and high fructose corn syrup were dulling the flavor. If you're considering getting them, do it!

I hate the fact these are seasonal because they are sooooo dang good!!!! It's the only place I can find them!!

Be prepared to be hooked. Dont buy these if you have no self control.. the pack i bought was fresh and soft. The flovor is wonderful (rainbow) and the texture was good. Its like a fruit roll up with a sour tart filling.. sounds weird but it's pretty good! These are not small packs, theyre a full regular size pack and there are 12 of those regulsr size packs in the case. The case was wrapped and i had no issues with the product being expired or damaged. I thought it was worth the price for what i recieved.

I can’t get enough of this candy. They boxed set was a little smaller than the regular and maybe a bit softer, but still great taste.

This item is great! Tastes good, didn’t come in melted, and was great to include in gifts!!

Gross! These can't be good - they are seperated in the bag and taste gross way different from the local grochery store where I usually buy them.
